NSW Consumers Bullied in Supreme Court
Written by The Hon Catherine Cusack MLC
The use of the Supreme Court by Fitness First to bully a customer over a $200 cancellation fee is proof Labor’s consumer claims system is failing to resolve disputes simply and cheaply, Shadow Minister for Fair Trading Catherine Cusack said today.

“This fiasco highlights failures of the Consumer Tenancy and Trader Tribunal (CTTT) which has a notorious reputation for rudeness, running late, failing to give timely decisions and making stupid mistakes that force this type of litigation in the Supreme Court,” Ms Cusack said.

Written by Mike Baird MP
The cost of running a car has skyrocketed even further with motorists facing increases of up to 80 percent in the cost of their Green Slips due to poor management by the Iemma Government, Shadow Minister for Finance Mike Baird said today.

“This is the Iemma Government trifecta for working families – water rates are up, electricity prices are escalating, and it now costs more to drive because the Iemma Government has dropped the ball on Green Slips,” Mr Baird said.
