Tough talk comes a little late

Piers Akerman
THE Rudd Labor government has been left floundering like a beached whale by the criminal activities of the anti-whaling protesters in the Southern Ocean. - Well presented Piers, but I would add Tim Blair’s comment regarding the relative speed of the vessels involved in the collision. It sounds like the Ady Gill was hit by a tree while attempting to park. Personally, I want the funds of the Sea Shepherd mob frozen as they are a menace on the high seas and such piracy should never be tolerated. Even if their roger is jolly.
But when we talk about the inept Rudd and his crew, it needs to be mentioned they are worse than inept. They are apparently corrupt and need to show the world how they are not, or resign in shame for fear of doing more damage to their brand, the ALP. I have no sympathy for them as I collect my first letter of demand from my bank, to be followed next week (Friday) by a demand for me to sell up. Because the ALP are guilty of mismanagement, and probably several crimes over the death of Hamidur Rahman.- ed.

Can the Church Remain Relevant In 2010?
By Rev. Bill Shuler
In order for the church to be relevant in 2010 it must find its identity in Jesus and become scripturally literate. As it returns to its original mission the focus will not be on self but on others.

COLD CASE
Tim Blair
Climategate began with a tiny blog and a collective of climate enthusiasts … but look where it’s ended up:
Norfolk Constabulary continues its investigations into criminal offences in relation to a data breach at the University of East Anglia. During the enquiry officers have been working in liaison with the Office of the Information Commissioner and with officers from the National Domestic Extremism Team. The UEA continues to co-operate with the enquiry however major investigations of this nature are of necessity very detailed and as a consequence can take time to reach a conclusion. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.
Well, of course not. We wouldn’t want the National Domestic Extremism Team coming after us.
