Unplug Me, Lord
by Dylan
(i told you..i'd do anything for you)
Well, this was meant to be a french synth pop song. And looks like it is not...
It's been a while since i wrote a song. Took me 6 months. But i think this is a huge thinking about human condition, and how it is hard to manage this in a postmodern way (especially when the breakfast eggs are served with the sunny side down). The song title is in Swahili, and the lyrics are in french. So profound i cant translate.
Dont worry..this one wont be alive long...

The song has been recorded by many talented vocal and instrumental performers, including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Mel Torme,the Italian singer Mina and now Grathy, in our first collab on IC 4.
Here is a classic-jazz version.

THE RAINY DAY
by: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807–1882)
The day is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The vine still clings to the mouldering wall,
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,
And the day is dark and dreary.
My life is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
My thoughts still cling to the mouldering Past,
But the hopes of youth fall thick in the blast,
And the days are dark and dreary.
Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.

I'm Still Here
by sonic_magpie, Mystified and particledots
This is another version of the song 'Still Here'
'Still Here' was originally written in 1995 and recorded using a load of outboard midi gear like EMU samplers and Yamaha tone modules.
The original 1995 version can be found here...
Fishcow uploaded his mix the other day and it can be found here....
There is also a particledots version called 'I Can't Sleep' which can be found here
From Cat:
It's hard to know what genre to place a Sonic Magpie track under--so often we combine styles and dodge 'the norm.'
This track has moved to a different place, though I'm not sure which genre, specifically...
When Bryn posted "Still Here," he invited me to add to it. So, one Saturday I sat down to record vocals just to see what came of it.
I initially recorded the chorus vox using the words "Still here" that was the song's title. But as I finished my recording of the chorus, I 'heard' a lead voice--something not at all like my own voice: a male voice, and something more in the style of Bowie. Since I wanted to represent what else I was hearing for Bryn, I decided I'd simply improvise a melody line and words....just whatever came to mind.
One take later, I had a suggested vocal line--again not at all expecting it to be more than a guide track for another singer. Guess again...
Bryn spiffed up that lead vocal and blended it with the backing vocals, rebuilding the main instrumental from the bottom up and creating the track posted here.
Once again, I'm one lucky magpie to be working with ya, Bryn!
I love how you've incorporated my vocals into this track.
Thank you!!

Bonzorno
by dirigent
A cappella setting by Antonio Scandello (1517-1580)
Arrangement for four voices and percussion, vocals and production by Dirigent
Loop-free except for three vocal samples from the GB JamPack Voices
After "Trooper's Serenade" the second madrigal-adventure of a German soldier who came to Italy in the sixteenth century - looking for love, not for war.
This time he meets a woman which seems to be beautiful, but she's maybe a little bit too old for him ... (The language is old Italian with a German accent; but see the lyrics-box for an English translation)
Enjoy
