Remembering 9/11

http://video.foxnews.com/v/1151859712001/

"Through adversity, we will triumph. We who love. We who give. We who share. We who remember. Our burden is not light, but we are strong. We are not of the right or left. We are not defined by race, color or creed. We are all those things. We have mourned our loss. We will grow. And we will embrace the future that they would deny us. Their legacy will be that their children are not like them, but will join us."

I am proud to have written it. I tried to fuse opposites. I don't want to let terrorists get away with their propaganda claiming they represent something. They don't. Not Islam. Not Eastern virtues. Not race. I don't want the left to claim it is a left/right thing. It is bigger than that, and much less.
