US Campaign for Burma rating states

New Interactive Map – How does your state rank on Burma?

We've just made it easier for you to turn your Senators into Burma Champions! Today we launched our Congressional Scorecard Map. This new interactive map easily shows your Senators' track record in support of freedom and human rights in Burma. Check out the Scorecard Map here, then follow the easy steps to contact your Senators and urge them to increase their support.

Senators are ranked as either a Burma Champion, Burma Defender, Burma Supporter or Burma Blocker according to their history of support for legislation on Burma. New Senators aren't given a score, but we hope with your help to turn them into Burma Champions soon.

Have your Senators decided to cosponsor the Burmese Freedom and Democracy Act this year? Are your Senators Burma Supporters, Defenders, or Neutral? Check out the map to find out now what they have done for Burma in the past and then follow our easy instructions to call your Senators today!

Every summer Congress must renew sanctions against Burma’s military regime - it gives us the opportunity to show how much we denounce the regime’s atrocities and support the struggle for democracy and human rights in Burma. Last summer 69 Senators cosponsored the renewal of sanctions against Burma’s military rulers. We signaled that we would not support the regime’s sham election. USCB members, like yourself, made this possible.

So far 38 Senators are cosponsoring the renewal of the Burmese Freedom and Democracy Act. We need your help to reach 70 and show the U.S. was not fooled by the regime’s sham elections. Click here for detailed instructions.
