Philadelphia Chapter of USCB Local Chapter Meeting

Philadelphia Chapter of US Campaign for Burma Meeting

Please join us at our local chapter meeting hosted by Philadelphia Chapter on Sunday, February 27, 2011.

In her interview with Today Show, Aung San Suu Kyi said, "We want the people of America to be aware of what is going on in Burma now, writing to the members of their congress, and then they must call for an inclusive political process in Burma." She requested that we continue to raise awareness for the people of Burma and the democracy movement in Burma.

While Aung San Suu Kyi may be released from house arrest, she needs us to maintain our commitment to her and the people of Burma to raise awareness in the city of Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs.

We have been moved by the Egyptian people standing firm in opposition to their current leadership. Are the voices from Tahrir Square heard in Burma?
