Editorial Victorian Lockdown a shakedown of Victorians by ALP
The lockdown is not helpful in Victoria, just as it wasn't in the recent past. Exposure of a COVID virus at some 150 sites shows the virus is prevalent in the community. But, we aren't having mass deaths. The exposures are mainly asymptomatic. So long as sick people are appropriately treated, then herd immunity will kick in. Lockdowns and masks have not prevented deaths. They have not prevented spread of COVID. The ALP administration ran a quarantine which spread the virus and killed elderly whom the ALP refused appropriate treatment. And the ALP has done it again in aged care

Meanwhile, press are savaging conservative politicians for ALP failure. Federal Minister Dan Tehan goes on a talk show and suggests those suffering under the new Victorian lockdown can approach Centrelink and is howled down by press who demand more money for Victorian victims of ALP lockdown. It is an Australian version of the Dan Bongino observation of press calls 'Conservatives pounce.' They say Conservatives heartlessly point to welfare for problems caused by the ALP. This deflects criticism from the ALP.

Editorial Did Woke Tolerance result in domestic murder?
A man has been sentenced to thirty years jail in Victoria, Australia for domestic homicide he forced his children to watch. His children had been so badly neglected they weren't educated well enough to speak of their trauma. The man is an Islamic State supporter and in 2016 he murdered his wife in ffront of his children, showing them his removing an eye and flushing it down a toilet before dumping the body to be found in a leisure area. The killing followed a code set out in the mythology of those who follow Islamic State, or those who read western media promoting the ideal. But there had been warning signs leading up to the killing too. A Victorian court heard evidence of how the husband and killer had prevented family from contacting the victim and the abuse which rendered the children permanently incapacitated. Now the court will not name the killer so as to 'protect' the family? Why not simply jail Cardinal George Pell again? Or maybe cancel the Dr Blake Mysteries again?

Domestic violence in Australia is rife in the Islamic community, but not contained to the Islamic community and it is not everywhere in the Islamic community. It is reprehensible that Islamic peoples do not more vociferously condemn those who claim to act on Islam and bring Islam into disrepute.

In Sydney another court fail resulted in a lost family as a father had court support in tracking down and killing his estranged children. The mother had filed an AVO against the dad, but the police had negligently discounted the application by linking it to an ambit claim in a court case. By following his daughter home from school, and killing her, the dad proved those police wrong. The mother has since suicided. How can that family be protected by a woke court now? Maybe the police will investigate more closely the conservative government? That seems to be the go to call.

Here is a video I made Sonnet LX

William Shakespeare (baptised 26 April 1564; died 23 April 1616) was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist.[1] He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon". His surviving works, including some collaborations, consist of about 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright

Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shore,
So do our minutes hasten to their end;
Each changing place with that which goes before,
In sequent toil all forwards do contend.
Nativity, once in the main of light,
Crawls to maturity, wherewith being crown'd,
Crooked eclipses 'gainst his glory fight,
And Time, that gave, doth now his gift confound.
Time doth transfix the flourish set on youth,
And delves the parallels in beauty's brow,
Feeds on the rarities of nature's truth,
And nothing stands but for his scythe to mow.
And yet to times in hope my verse shall stand,
Praising thy worth, despite his cruel hand.

Don't give up on hope. Julie Bishop asked Hamas if Australian aid money is going towards terrorism. How young and naive is she?

Amazon trade. The Australia Tax is what keeps people looking overseas. Not the GST, but the price of the goods because business in Australia is so expensive relative to anywhere else in the world. A new, world class hospital in Australia costs over $2 billion which would cost in the US some $500 million for the same equipment and building. The difference being corrupt union hire, Green tape, Red tape.

The Australian government under Malcolm Turnbull cannot spend money appropriately in Australia or outside Australia and refuses to make the case for economic management. But it is still better than the ALP wants to be. While Bishop gives money to the Palestinian Authority, Plibersek is keen to support BDS to attack Israel. Greens attack tax cuts to business as being in support of Jews. Turnbull opposes free speech and won't remove the Australian Human Rights Authority, but Shorten promotes union corruption which fleeces Australia. Australians tire of the swamp, but aren't being given viable alternatives federally.

Why would economic migrants seek to come to Australia? The Independent reports that Muslims who are refugees in China are placed in re education camps where they drink alcohol and eat pork. It is a reminder that while China has freed some trade, she is mainly communist and nothing to aspire to. Those who admire China's response to terror, despise the Liberty which underpins the success of the west. But those in Australian Government who make a case for such freedoms, Tony Abbott or Barnaby Joyce, are being beaten up by social conservatives and the left wing. While Trump is draining the swamp, the swamp envelops Australia.

Some things should not happen, but they do. Jimmy Carter was popularly elected President of the United States. His one term in office was a disaster the world has yet to recover from. One of his main policy advisers was Zbigniew Brzezinski. Brzezinski as security adviser got Carter's Secretary of State to resign in frustration. Brzezinski was aimed towards peace and detente, however he seemed to sacrifice good to achieve his aims. He promoted a Cardinal to become Pope, the Cardinal was Polish too. But journalist John Helmer, a Putin critic, posits a story of Brzezinski backing the assassination attempt on JP11 too. Brzezinski was an academic who wanted peace the same way a schoolboy yearns for fame. He wasn't smart about it. Carter pushed Moshe Dayan to give up Jerusalem for peace. Peace was never achieved. It was just a bad plan. As was killing JPII to save a Soviet run Poland for peace.

In 193, the Roman Emperor Didius Julianus was assassinated. Julianus had bought the throne from those Praetorian Guard who had assassinated the predecessor. He devalued the currency and, after nine weeks, was also assassinated by Praetorian Guard. His last words were reported as "But what evil have I done? Whom have I killed?" 1779, Benedict Arnold, a general in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, was court-martialed for malfeasance. Arnold was overspending, including his own money, and felt bitter at his treatment, so he planned to change sides, but was found out and narrowly escaped. 1794, the battle of the Glorious First of June was fought, the first naval engagement between Britain and France during the French Revolutionary Wars. Each side claimed success. Britain for sinking seven ships, France for securing their merchant navy. 1813, James Lawrence, the mortally-wounded commander of the USS Chesapeake, gave his final order: "Don't give up the ship!"

1890, the United States Census Bureau began using Herman Hollerith's tabulating machine to count census returns. 1916, Louis Brandeis became the first Jewish person appointed to the United States Supreme Court. He was appointed by Woodrow Wilson against the wishes of GOP and one Democrat. The GOP didn't trust a firebrand. The Dem may not have liked the race. He became a great advocate for free speech. He was raised in a secular household, but embraced Zionism. 1943, British Overseas Airways Corporation Flight 777 was shot down over the Bay of Biscay by German Junkers Ju 88s, killing the actor Leslie Howard and leading to speculation that the shooting down was an attempt to kill the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.1962, the Pilkington Committee on Broadcasting concluded, among other things, that the British public did not want commercial radio broadcasting.

Many thanks for my new landlord, Andy. He has welcomed me into his home, turning it upside down to give me a safe place and a future. I would like to reward him by working and prospering, as well as helping his children do the same from this short to medium term contact. My next step being independence. Who would choose to be long term unemployed? It is a terrible, shameful thing. Andy is my new hero. He has run a business which was successful before it was crushed by ALP policy. Malcolm Turnbull has run a successful business too. Shorten has not. Shorten has ruined business with support for corrupt unions who don't benefit workers. Remember that as Shorten promises to spend more $billions on his spendometer.

For some, at the moment, the Sex Party has more credibility.

Yesterday, 2005 was the anniversary of the announcement that Mark Felt was Deep Throat. He died three years later and never answered for his crime in bringing down the Nixon Presidency on trumped up charges and sending men to jail he disliked for political reasons. Watergate is over analysed in a few ways, but under analysed in a few ways too. The second associate director of the FBI leaking (creating?) smears for the press (Bob Woodward and Car Bernstein) was a crime which never was prosecuted. The corruption implicit to the activity means that the investigation was skewed. Technically, all those charged and convicted in relation to Watergate are innocent as a result of Felt's corruption. There are many today who feel that Nixon got off lightly. The truth is that Nixon was impugned by Felt's corruption, and Felt got off lightly.

Today, a senior unionist forgot if he shortchanged workers to pay the union. It isn't a good look for ALP leader Bill Shorten who ran the union before entering politics. Gay activists who promote gay marriage are being challenged to protect marriage from those who would trivialise it. The ill informed and unfair attacks on Cardinal Pell, must stop.

Today's Old Testament reading: 2 Chronicles 13-14

Abijah King of Judah
In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam, Abijah became king of Judah, 2 and he reigned in Jerusalem three years. His mother's name was Maakah, a daughter of Uriel of Gibeah.
There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam. 3 Abijah went into battle with an army of four hundred thousand able fighting men, and Jeroboam drew up a battle line against him with eight hundred thousand able troops....

Jesus Anointed at Bethany
1 Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2Here a dinner was given in Jesus' honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. 3Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume....

Morning

"The king also himself passed over the brook Kidron."
2 Samuel 15:23
David passed that gloomy brook when flying with his mourning company from his traitor son. The man after God's own heart was not exempt from trouble, nay, his life was full of it. He was both the Lord's Anointed, and the Lord's Afflicted. Why then should we expect to escape? At sorrow's gates the noblest of our race have waited with ashes on their heads; wherefore then should we complain as though some strange thing had happened unto us?
The King of kings himself was not favoured with a more cheerful or royal road. He passed over the filthy ditch of Kidron, through which the filth of Jerusalem flowed. God had one Son without sin, but not a single child without the rod. It is a great joy to believe that Jesus has been tempted in all points like as we are. What is our Kidron this morning? Is it a faithless friend, a sad bereavement, a slanderous reproach, a dark foreboding? The King has passed over all these. Is it bodily pain, poverty, persecution, or contempt? Over each of these Kidrons the King has gone before us. "In all our afflictions he was afflicted." The idea of strangeness in our trials must be banished at once and forever, for he who is the Head of all saints, knows by experience the grief which we think so peculiar. All the citizens of Zion must be free of the Honourable Company of Mourners, of which the Prince Immanuel is Head and Captain.
Notwithstanding the abasement of David, he yet returned in triumph to his city, and David's Lord arose victorious from the grave; let us then be of good courage, for we also shall win the day. We shall yet with joy draw water out of the wells of salvation, though now for a season we have to pass by the noxious streams of sin and sorrow. Courage, soldiers of the Cross, the King himself triumphed after going over Kidron, and so shall you.

Evening

"Who healeth all thy diseases."
Psalm 103:3

Humbling as is the statement, yet the fact is certain, that we are all more or less suffering under the disease of sin. What a comfort to know that we have a great Physician who is both able and willing to heal us! Let us think of him awhile tonight. His cures are very speedy--there is life in a look at him; his cures are radical--he strikes at the centre of the disease; and hence, his cures are sure and certain. He never fails, and the disease never returns. There is no relapse where Christ heals; no fear that his patients should be merely patched up for a season, he makes new men of them: a new heart also does he give them, and a right spirit does he put within them. He is well skilled in all diseases. Physicians generally have some speciality. Although they may know a little about almost all our pains and ills, there is usually one disease which they have studied above all others; but Jesus Christ is thoroughly acquainted with the whole of human nature. He is as much at home with one sinner as with another, and never yet did he meet with an out-of-the-way case that was difficult to him. He has had extraordinary complications of strange diseases to deal with, but he has known exactly with one glance of his eye how to treat the patient. He is the only universal doctor; and the medicine he gives is the only true catholicon, healing in every instance. Whatever our spiritual malady may be, we should apply at once to this Divine Physician. There is no brokenness of heart which Jesus cannot bind up. "His blood cleanseth from all sin." We have but to think of the myriads who have been delivered from all sorts of diseases through the power and virtue of his touch, and we shall joyfully put ourselves in his hands. We trust him, and sin dies; we love him, and grace lives; we wait for him and grace is strengthened; we see him as he is, and grace is perfected forever.

I am a decent man and don't care for the abuse given me. I created a video raising awareness of anti police feeling among western communities. I chose the senseless killing of Nicola Cotton, a Louisiana policewoman who joined post Katrina, to highlight the issue. I did this in order to get an income after having been illegally blacklisted from work in NSW for being a whistleblower. I have not done anything wrong. Local council appointees refused to endorse my work, so I did it for free. Youtube's Adsence refused to allow me to profit from their marketing it. Meanwhile, I am hostage to abysmal political leadership and hopeless journalists. My shopfront has opened on Facebook.

I am publishing a book called Bread of Life: January.

Bread of Life is a daily bible quote with a layman's understanding of the meaning. I give one quote for each day, and also a series of personal stories illustrating key concepts eg Who is God? What is a miracle? Why is there tragedy?

January is the first of the anticipated year-long work of thirteen books. One for each month and the whole year. It costs to publish. It (Kindle version) should retail at about $2US online, but the paperback version would cost more, according to production cost.If you have a heart for giving, I fundraise at gofund.me/27tkwuc (Gofundme finished the fund raiser, 2017)

Editorials will appear in the "History in a Year by the Conservative Voice" series, starting with August, September, October, or at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/dp/1482020262/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_dVHPub0MQKDZ4 The kindle version is cheaper, but the soft back version allows a free kindle version.
