US Campaign for Burma Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's 66th

Donate $66 Today for Aung San Suu Kyi's 66th Birthday

Today is Aung San Suu Kyi's 66th Birthday. Will you make a special donation of $66 so we can keep the cause of Burma alive? She has said that this is one of the most important things we can do to support her and Burma, and the U.S. Campaign for Burma has worked relentlessly to ensure that politicians, journalists, and people everywhere don't forget about Burma.

In case you haven't seen it, you can watch the video of Aung San Suu Kyi thanking the efforts of U.S. Campaign for Burma and our grassroots members.

Now more than ever Aung San Suu Kyi and her goal of peaceful national reconciliation in Burma must be supported. Ten thousand refugees have fled the recent outbreak of violence in Northern Burma, adding to the already millions of people who have been displaced because of the military regime's brutal campaigns against any opposition groups. Burma's ethnic communities have demanded for decades basic rights and freedoms, only to be met with violence and aggression. Aung San Suu Kyi strongly supports peaceful national reconciliation, where all ethnicities and parties come together with the military to find meaningful resolution for the country. She has repeatedly reached out to all ethnic groups, and they in response have supported her efforts of bringing unity to the country.

U.S. Campaign for Burma is always working to follow the lead of Aung San Suu Kyi. We need your help. If even just a thousand of our members donate $66, it will greatly expand our work. See a list of some our accomplishments to learn more about our work.

In Solidarity,

Thelma, U.S. Campaign for Burma
