Anonymous revealed: Miles Taylor identifies himself as Trump official behind explosive op-ed, bookWhite House Press Secretary has issued a withering response after the identity of Anonymous, a notorious critic of the President, was revealed.
Anonymous, the senior Trump official who published an explosive opinion piece and a tell-all book from inside the administration, has finally revealed his identity, six days before the presidential election.
His name is Miles Taylor, and he is the former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security.
The Trump campaign will likely breathe a sigh of relief that Anonymous did not turn out to be someone with a higher profile.
Also softening any potential blow to the President is the fact that Mr Taylor has already been publicly critical of Mr Trump since leaving the administration.
He endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in August.
“Make no mistake: I am a Republican, and I wanted this President to succeed. That’s why I came into the Administration with John Kelly, and it’s why I stayed on as chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security.
===
The President responded to the news during one of his political rallies in Arizona.
“You know Anonymous? You know this Anonymous, that everyone’s been looking for? That law enforcement could have found early if they wanted to? But everybody was looking for Anonymous,” he said.
“It turned out to be a low-level staffer, a sleazebag, who’s never worked in the White House. Anonymous was a nobody, a disgruntled employee who was quickly removed from his job a long time ago, for they tell me incompetence.
“He wrote a phony book. If you heard about Anonymous, it was like somebody that was right next to me. I thought it might have been Hope Hicks, I thought it might have been Jared, I thought it might have been Mike Lee! I was extremely worried about Rand Paul.
“This guy’s a low-level lowlife, that I don’t know. I have no idea who he is, other than I got to see him a little while ago on television. And I think they threw him out a long time ago.
“His phony book was just based on fake articles and left-wing outlets. He worked with the fake news New York Times. And he’s an employee of Google, he works for Google, isn’t that nice?
“The whole thing was just one more giant hoax from the Washington swamp and a corrupt special interest group.
“I tell you what, this guy, in my opinion, he should be prosecuted. He should be prosecuted.”

France and Germany locked down amid coronavirus chaos in EuropeTwo more major European nations have gone back into full lockdowns as the continent struggles with a massive increase in virus cases.
Lockdowns are only good for flattening the curve, not treating the virus. They could use effective treatments like HCQ.

Coronavirus Australia live: Fears restriction detail could spark a surge in casesJust two days in to Melbourne's eased restrictions and a trend is already emerging among businesses that some fear could spark a surge in cases.
Just two days in to Melbourne's eased restrictions and a trend is already emerging among businesses that some fear could spark a surge in cases.
Businesses across Victoria are required to take down the contact details of anyone who is in the venue for more than 15 minutes but there have already been cases of businesses failing to comply with this simple rule.
There have been reports of cafes, hairdressers and beauty salons failing to take down customer’s details for contact tracing purposes.
It comes after queues of people were pictures outside stores as restrictions lifted at 11.59 on Tuesday.
Pictures taken at 24 Kmart stores across Melbourne showed people ignoring social distancing as they lined up and then rushing through the doors as they opened.
Victoria is unprepared to treat sick people?

This might never have happened if Joe Biden had been President of Russia like Obama promised?

Victoria’s COVID contact tracing subject of new inquiryVictoria’s contact tracing system will now be put to its own inquiry, just one day after Brett Sutton called the state’s set up “the best in the Australia”.
Victoria’s coronavirus contact tracing system will be put under the microscope, as politicians seek to find out if it played any part in the state’s deadly second wave.
A motion by the Victorian Coalition to establish an inquiry into the system was given the go ahead in parliament on Wednesday.
It will be carried out by parliament’s Legal and Social Issues Committee, headed by Reason Party Leader Fiona Patten.
The rest of the committee consists of three Labor MPs, two Coalition MPs and two crossbenchers.
Deputy Opposition Leader Georgie Crozier, who put the motion forward in parliament, said the inquiry would help Victorians regain trust in the health system as the state finally begins to move out of lockdown.
“This parliamentary inquiry will get to the bottom of some of those failures that have occurred, but more importantly give Victorians an understanding and give them the confidence that they really need with the contact tracing system,” she said.
The news comes after Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton called Victoria’s contact tracing system the best in the country.
“I’ve been pretty frank about weaknesses or critiques in elements of our response right through, but I will say now, I think our case contact and outbreak management is the best in Australia at the moment,” Mr Sutton said on Tuesday.
Treating sick people has not been a priority of Vic Health during the COVID crisis. They declared a treatment, HCQ, a poison based on bad studies. Fiona Patten will probably try to exonerate herself over her awful decision to give Dan Andrews emergency powers.

Dr Anthony Fauci: ‘I’d be in serious trouble’ recommending Australian coronavirus response in USIn a candid new interview, Dr Anthony Fauci admits he wouldn’t dare publicly endorse one key aspect of Australia’s coronavirus response.

Fauci's message for Victorians
America's top COVID-19 expert Dr Anthony Fauci has praised Victoria's miraculous recovery from its second wave of coronavirus.
Speaking in a University of Melbourne panel discussion with Doherty Institute director Sharon Lewin, Dr Fauci said Australia had done "quite well" handling the pandemic.
"I would like to say the same for the United States, but the numbers speak for themselves," he said.
Dr Fauci said Victorians in particular were worthy of admiration for how wholeheartedly they have embraced masks.
"I really wish that we could transplant that kind of mentality here, because masks in the United States have almost become a political statement," he said.
"People were ridiculed for wearing masks, it depended on which side of a political spectrum you were at, which is so painful to me as a physician, a scientist and a public health person — to see such divisiveness centred around a public health issue.
"If there's one area of life that there should not be divisiveness, it is in the health of your nation."
The full panel discussion will be premiering on the University of Melbourne YouTube channel at 7:00pm AEDT.

The US election has seen the return of Americans vowing to flee the country if Donald Trump wins. But in 2020, there’s one big thing stopping them.
They promised the same in '60, too, right?

‘Ms Maguire’: Gladys Berejiklian grilled by reporters over shredding scandalGladys Berejiklian’s press conference was derailed today by a man who referred to her as “Ms Maguire”. We now know who it was.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has been grilled by reporters at a fiery press conference amid fresh calls for her to resign over a shredding scandal linked to $250 million in council grants.
Reporters also probed her over the ongoing koala policy saga, with one reporter demanding she answer his question about land clearing.
“Answer the question Ms Berejiklian … sorry, Ms Maguire maybe,” he said.
But the Premier ignored the gibe.
The taunts came from Kristo, who works as a researcher for YouTuber FriendlyJordies, who in recent months has been seen cosying up to Labor leader Jodi McKay.
Kristo, who has previously referred to himself as “the gatekeeper” for FriendlyJordies, was escorted out of the room shortly after his outburst.
Later in the day, Police Minister David Elliott was asked for his opinion on the incident.
He said he was not concerned about the Premier’s level of personal security, but has “always been a big advocate of making sure that media conferences are restricted to bona-fide journalists”.
Mr Elliott said the Youtuber’s relationship with the Opposition Leader said “more about Jodi McKay than it does about FriendlyJordies”.
ALP have not had a competent leader in NSW in a long time. Still don't.
