A Sign in Fairfield, pointing up

Liberal Party candidate Dai Le (right) and Cabramatta property owner Kim Tran prostesting with some of the illegal signs.
Advance claims there could be some dirty tricks being played in the next election. They show a sign with Dai Le pictured, holding a sign highlighting the shame of the ALP, Lalich and Carbone. In reply, Lalich has smeared Dai Le and Cr Toma claiming the signs were illegal. This is funny (in a pathetic way) because Lalich has had illegal signage in the last several elections which he refused to take down because he claimed he hadn't erected them. However, Cr Toma seems to have been on the private property which had the signs erected in this instance in a legal fashion. Lalich denounces what he seems to practice.
as the Advance writes:
Ms Le and Liberal Party councillors are lobbying the council for more carparking and better services in the CBD.

Ms Le has taken up the plight of the Tran family, who do not want to sell their land to the council.

She said the State Government’s compulsory acquisition laws made the “land grab” so easy.

“In the past, council needed to demonstrate that a public benefit would occur if they acquired the land, but now it can be simply for profit-making purposes. So there is nothing stopping council from claiming that the land is for a carpark and then in a few years rezone it for shops or other commercial purposes.”

Cr Toma (pictured on right)
ALP members have called for Liberal councillor Zaya Toma to resign. They say he was seen putting up posters on council property that was recently acquired for a new car park.

Cr Toma told the Champion he did not put up the posters but was at the site to meet the former owner, Kevin Tran.

"I did turn up to have a meeting," Cr Toma said. "I was there and the site was still private property at the time.

"I don't see what the big deal is."

Photos of Cr Toma at the site were provided to the Champion by members of the ALP.

Both papers seem to offer the smear that the Liberals have somehow done something wrong which they must defend. The Champion are a bit more enthusiastic about it. The truth is that Dai Le has had a substantial impact on this neighborhood from opposition. We have a hope her talents can be employed to serve the people in the next state government.

Meanwhile, in a Lalich like display in South Australia, The ALP have produced a fake 'How to vote' card which they have distributed in marginal seats. Apparently the electoral office will accept the tactic, but it is unethical.
As Andrew Bolt writes:
Nasty - and, yes, something Hawker refused to condemn:
LABOR stands accused of using dirty tactics by handing out “sneaky” how-to-vote cards in a last minute bid to hold key marginal seats.

The Liberals and Family First are crying foul over the “fake” ALP-authorised cards that urge Family First voters to preference Labor, instead of Liberal as Family First intended.

Widely distributed in key marginals, the cards might form the basis of a challenge to seat results, although the Electoral Commission says there is no “technical breach” of the Electoral Act.

Labor denies the cards which are authorised by its state secretary Michael Brown, are in breach of the Act. Handed out at polling booths in Morialta, Mawson, Hartley and Light, the cards were waved in voters’ faces by people wearing T-shirts emblazoned with “Put Your Family First”.
