Do it Anyway Kent Keith Poem

===
I posted this on July 5th as part of my regular column. But I wanted it on its' own. I first heard it from Craig Ondarchie at his birthday earlier this year.

But, I had read it in the 90's from a newspaper column on Jeff Kennett.

"People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centred.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of being selfish or ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.
We spend years building what another can destroy overnight.
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people may forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you try to help
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
Give the world your best, anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them, anyway. "
