Tue 19th January 2021 Current Affairs

I view it as my job to provide a narrative of events as they unfold. I do not know what tomorrow will bring, but I point to what is right and fair, and denounce the unjust. My disdain for Democrat posturing is rooted in substantial, personal loss. I am an economic conservative, caring little for what inflames the ardour of social conservatives. But I'm sympathetic to social conservatives in their issues. Abortion is something I have little personal interest in. I feel it should be safe, but rare. It is, sometimes a necessary, life saving procedure, but widespread practice as a social alternative to birth control is repugnant. I'm sympathetic to refugees, and feel those who facilitate people smuggling through weak borders deserve a special place in hell. I care for the environment, which is why I feel it is important to liberate carbon dioxide through burning fossil fuels as it is a plant food. I disdain bird killing windmills and exorbitant solar power projects that take money from the world's poorest and gives it to wealthy AGW hucksters. I oppose the ridiculous COVID-19 hysteria which seems to merely facilitate voter fraud to steal the 2020 Presidential election from Trump. I despise racism and racists, including those who would divide America into minorities when her greatness is based on all her peoples. I support police and people who serve the public. I care nothing for the sexual deviancy of others, so long as they don't hurt others or involve children. I support a Jewish Israel and freedoms for all Israeli peoples. I oppose terrorism and note the support given it by Ukraine, North Korea, China and Iran. I stand for free speech and oppose book burners, including those who claim to be conservatives. 

There is less than three days before Biden is inaugurated. With the apparent corruption with which Biden secured the right, I am outraged. Knowing Biden endorses AGW and COVID hysteria, promotes racism, gender dysphoria and terrorism. Biden is unfit for high office. The only PM's position he is fit for is a post mortem. I don't wish terrible things for Biden. I think he deserves justice, or mental health care. Biden is being used by people who want what a Presidency can bestow. The swamp which stole the 2020 Presidential election and senate run offs cannot be allowed to stand if the nation is to be preserved. I call on American peoples to peacefully demand their rights. 

Why is it that there is an impeachment process of Trump that cannot be completed in time before his Presidency ends? Is it because if there is martial law declared, his time would be extended? We will know more in three days. But before we know more, I know Biden is calling for unity, while his lackeys have stolen my life's work on Facebook and threaten other platforms that I, as a writer, have no choice but be involved in. I will not forget that. Fourteen years of daily posting, stolen. I have done no wrong, and am powerless before these hucksters who incite riots and murder people because 'they care'.

A new study has found that educational materials produced by the West Bank and Gaza Strip offices of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) support terrorism, glorify violence and promote conspiracy theories demonizing Jews and Israelis.

In addition, UNRWA’s curriculum reportedly declares all of Jerusalem to be the Palestinian capital and fails “to acknowledge the existence of the State of Israel, a UN member state.”

HonestReporting has launched an initiative to expose the truth about UNRWA, which has reinvented the concept of refugee as an inherited characteristic.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly assembling a team to prepare for talks on Iran’s nuclear program with members of the incoming US administration. According to local media, the group will include officials from Israel’s Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry, IDF, Mossad spy agency and Atomic Energy Commission.

Netanyahu is considering appointing someone to head the team and serve as an Iran-related envoy to Washington.

Joe Biden, who is set to be inaugurated as president on January 20, has insinuated that the US could re-enter the 2015 nuclear accord — from which current leader Donald Trump withdrew America in May 2018 – if Tehran recommits to the terms of the deal.

Iran, in turn, has conditioned such an eventuality on the lifting of US economic sanctions that have since been re-imposed.

Last week, Netanyahu warned against breathing new life into the nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA): “If we just go back to the JCPOA, what will happen and may already be happening is that many other countries in the Middle East will rush to arm themselves with nuclear weapons. That is a nightmare and that is folly. It should not happen,” he said.

Relatedly, Israeli Minister Tzachi Hanegbi, widely considered a Netanyahu ally, on Wednesday threatened that Jerusalem could green light an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities if the US rejoined the multilateral agreement.

A senior US intelligence official claimed that this week’s large scale aerial bombing campaign targeting Iran-linked military sites in eastern Syria was carried out by Israel on the basis of intelligence provided by Washington.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, was cited as saying that the strikes targeted numerous warehouses used to store Iranian weapons near the Syria-Iraq border. The source further revealed that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had discussed the operation in advance with Mossad chief Yossi Cohen at a public meeting on Monday at a popular eatery in Washington, D.C.

The assault, which reportedly targeted more than 15 facilities, was the fourth alleged Israeli attack in Syria over the past two-plus weeks. It comes on the backdrop of ongoing Iranian threats to avenge the January 2020 killing of Quds Force chief Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike in Iraq.

The world’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism is getting closer to producing a nuclear bomb. In January 2021, Iran announced that it had started the process to enrich uranium up to 20 percent. Although the statement prompted worried responses from Jerusalem — Israel has been warning the world about the Iranian threat for decades — the reports coming out of Tehran shouldn’t surprise  those who have been following the Islamic Republic’s repeated breaches of the terms of the ‘Iran Deal’ over the last few years.

What is the Iran Deal?

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) – more commonly known as the Iran Deal – was struck in 2015 by Iran, the United States, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, Germany and France, together with the European Union.

It was theoretically designed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons by increasing the oversight by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in exchange for sanctions relief. According to proponents of the JCPOA, full compliance by Iran would lengthen the country’s “breakout time” to one year.

The deal was implemented to great fanfare on January 16, 2016, but quickly failed to deliver what it had promised. Already in early 2016, Iran violated the spirit of the agreement by testing ballistic missiles capable of reaching Israel, marked with slogans calling for the destruction of the Jewish State. These tests would continue in the years to come, in defiance of the UN Security Council resolution endorsing the Iran Deal.

According to Iran, its missile program serves a defensive purpose but a plethora of evidence refutes this claim. “If Iran were telling the truth, it would be the only nation in history without a nuclear-weapons program that nonetheless developed missiles with a range of 2,000 kilometers or more,” former CIA analyst Fred Fleitz argued in April 2016. “Iran is not building long-range missiles to carry warheads full of dynamite or to fire monkeys into space.”

Iran’s Sinister Plans

In the months and years that followed, more and more breaches of the nuclear deal came to light. For example, the second report by the IAEA after the implementation of the JCPOA noted that Iran was in possession of too much heavy water, which is used in nuclear reactors. 

In July 2016, Germany’s domestic security agency published an incriminating report alleging that despite Iran’s promises, the Islamic Republic continued to acquire materials that could be used to develop illegal weaponry in secret. “This holds true in particular with regards to items which can be used in the field of nuclear technology,” the report added.

A document leaked to The Associated Press that same month revealed more of Iran’s plans. According to a confidential annex to the JCPOA, Iran intended to replace its current centrifuges with more advanced ones as early as January 2027, allowing the regime to enrich at more than twice the rate it had been doing so far. This would have allowed Iran to build a nuclear bomb even before the end of the deal in 2030.

By November 2016, the IAEA reported that Iran was once again breaking the terms of the deal. In a classified document, the UN nuclear watchdog wrote that Tehran surpassed the agreed upon threshold for heavy water for the second time. Less than a year after the regime vowed not to continue down the path of developing a nuclear weapon, numerous members of the international community voiced concerns that Iranian misdeeds were undermining the JCPOA.

Iran Deal Undermined By Lies?

Those concerns became even stronger in 2018, when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed some 100,000 files obtained by the Mossad from Iran’s secret atomic archives in a warehouse in Tehran. Netanyahu claimed that just like it lied about the purpose of the ballistic missile program, Iran misled the international community about its past and future nuclear ambitions. 

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei claimed in 2012 that “the Islamic Republic has never been after nuclear weapons.” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated in 2013 that nuclear weapons have “no place” in Iran’s security and defense doctrine. In April 2015, the same month that Iran agreed to a preliminary framework of what would become the JCPOA, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told Bloomberg that his country “didn’t have any program to develop nuclear weapons anyway.”

The information obtained by Israel made clear to many that Iran had lied.

At the press conference on April 30, 2018, Netanyahu described how Iranian officials deceived the world in three respects. First, they lied about never having had a nuclear weapons program. According to the Israeli premier, the documents showed that Iran’s Fordow plant was “designed from the get-go for nuclear weapons.”

Second, Iran didn’t shutter its nuclear program. Even after forging the Iran Deal, the Islamic Republic continued to secretly preserve and expand nuclear weapons know-how for future use.

Finally, Iran never came clean about its past activities, even though the JCPOA was conditioned on an IAEA report that cleared the country of prior nuclear activities for military use. In other words: not only did Iran violate the nuclear agreement after signing, but the whole deal was undermined by the false pretense of the Iranian regime as being an honest and constructive party. 

20 Percent Enrichment

Shortly after Netanyahu’s revelations, US President Donald Trump announced Washington’s departure from the JCPOA, asserting that the “disastrous deal” placed “very weak” limits on Iran’s nuclear activity. While the remaining parties struggled to keep the accord alive — even launching efforts to bypass renewed US economic sanctions — Iran quickly ramped up its production of enriched uranium, surpassing the cap of 3.67 percent purity set by the deal.

After the assassination of its top nuclear scientist in November 2020, the Iranian parliament passed a law calling on the government to produce and store uranium enriched to 20 percent purity before February 2021. Reportedly, President Hassan Rouhani has already ordered to start this process at the Fordow nuclear facility.

This is the most significant step towards a bomb that the Islamic Republic has taken in the last few years, according to Israeli intelligence sources and nuclear weapons experts. Enrichment at 20 percent is only a short, technical step away from weapons-grade levels of 90 percent.

The Media Angle

When reading the news, it’s possible to come away with the impression that Iran is reacting to draconian sanctions and provocations by the West. Repeatedly, media reports focus on the latest events, without providing the fuller context of Iran’s persistent violations of the nuclear deal.

In some cases, widely-read media outlets have even claimed that Iran only began violating the deal in response to America’s withdrawalan inversion of the facts, and a journalistic failure which misleads and misinforms the public about the reality and the severity of the Iranian threat.

Don't give up on hope. In Australia the left wing have won the culture wars. So that truth is dismissed as being the same as myths and lies. One report has it that Native Title is dependent on Australia having been settled and not invaded. Indigenous Australians also support Australia Day. Another picture relates the left wingers limiting the food supply of the poor. Kangaroos are not being hunted to extinction. California has strong regulations on forest fires, and yet they burn. The public believes companies profit 36% on average in the US. But that is five times the actual figure, which explains why leftists believe companies can be robbed blind and still operate. Trump is not going to bomb North Japan.

Queensland's coroner is going to open an investigation into the 1972 death of brothel madame. 45 years ago, police declared the death was a drug overdose. Shirley Brifman had been in witness protection and due to appear in a perjury case against many Queensland and NSW detectives. The NSW public service is in need of reform. It is corrupt. NSW is functioning well under Premier Mike Baird. Baird has returned the state to surplus and planned investment in infrastructure that will see NSW grow well for the next thirty years. It is entirely different from the time that a corrupt ALP claimed it was impossible for NSW to be in surplus ever again, and made plans for Sydney without leaving space for a cemetery. 

As good as NSW has been under Mike Baird, there are still things needing to be done. People supporting corruption will claim that Baird should not have cleaned up greyhounds or stopped the drunken louts killing each other and innocent people at King's Cross. But Baird was right in his decisions there. Right about greyhounds having to stop when they were deemed unpolice-able, and right to allow them to continue after the industry admitted that they could govern responsibly. However, a black spot has been the longstanding corruption of the judiciary and public service. It has seen good politicians on the Liberal National coalition forced out of office by faux claims. It has seen corrupt politicians protected. The corruption of Eddie Obeid should not be viewed in isolation. Neither should the death of Hamidur Rahman be ignored. Nor the death of Shirley Brifman. But by launching an inquiry, are the QLD authorities attempting to sanitise evidence? Corruption, left unchallenged, festers and grows without limit. It is wrong to say Baird did not face it. But it was probably an impossible task for him to address. I salute a job well done.

Martin Luther King was born on Jan 15th. In honour of his birthday, black separatists are demanding Hollywood honour black actors for the colour of their skin. For the last two years some 40 actors have been picked for excellence in the field of ridiculous endeavour and none met the colour requirement. Some might say that means that black actors are fine upstanding citizens, but even so there are demands to expose them as being vain and self seeking as any. A fact based book on a slave of George Washington is removed from sale after the author spent four years researching it. It is a touching story of a slave wanting to make a cake for Washington on his birthday. Detractors claim the book suggests slaves felt joy. Some slaves did. Service is more rewarding than wealth, at times. Martin Luther King was one of the greatest of men. Not just the greatest of black men. And the show ponies pointing to skin colour are not doing him honour. Or themselves. 

For some, at the moment, the Sex Party has more credibility

Elizabeth Farrelly nails the issue of poodle walking in Sydney. Tim Blair has experimented. One suspects Tim is exaggerating, and does not feel Farrelly's pain. Sometimes a big city is hard. Still it isn't the same pain as that felt by an Iraqi Muslm whose 21 yo son has been hauled before a Sharia court. The crime has been to breed pigeons. It is not a well known crime, but still enough to haul away a young man and probably execute him. Luckily it wasn't a poodle, because then, well, it isn't worth thinking about it. The birds have been incinerated as is custom. Some would say the ISIL death cult does not speak for Islam and is not a real government. But the advocates struggle to find how they are not Islamic. 

On this day in 1520 Sten Sture the younger was mortally wounded. He had been on a horse at the Battle of Bogesund, and a cannon ball bounced off the ice and took his leg and the horse beneath him. He survived to retreat, but died on the ice lake Mälaren on February 5. He had been regent of Sweden from the age of 18 and was ambitious. His enemies won and desecrated his corpse under religious code. But he is the direct ancestor of Swedish King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden. In 1661, Thomas Venner was hanged drawn and quartered. He hadn't wanted Charles II to be king, so he killed people. His punishment then, seems harsh but fair. In 1788, the second part of the first fleet arrived at Botany Bay. In 1829, Faust was first performed, but notes do not say where, probably Weimar. In a prelude to WW1, in 1871, Prussia defeated France at the Battle of St Quentin. 


In 1883, Thomas Edison's built electric lighting system began service in Roselle New Jersey. In 1915, Georges Claude patented the neon tube for advertising. Meanwhile German Zeppelins bombed the UK killing 20 civilians. In 1945, Soviet forces liberated Lodz ghetto. In 1940, the ghetto housed 200,000, in 1945 there were fewer than 900 survivors. In 1953, an estimated 72% of all tv sets in the US tuned in to watch Lucille Ball giving birth on I Love Lucy. In 1969, Jan Palach died having burned himself for freedom of Czechoslovakia. In 1977, for the only time in recorded history, snow fell in Miami. In 1981, Iran signed a deal to release embassy hostages, highlighting the inability of President Carter to do it before his election attempt. In 1983, Klaus Barbie was arrested in Bolivia. Barbie might have helped kill Che Guevarra, but that was not a good enough reason to protect him.

A posting on the Bolt Report Supporters Group has led me to post on the Middle East and Israel. I am a Christian conservative with Jewish ancestry. I don't feel guilty over historical abuses, but acknowledge that the Holocaust of WW2 was not the sole time Jews have been unjustly assaulted. I could point to numerous examples of Jews being abused in Europe, the New World, the old world. My family fled Russia (Minsk) they had probably gone there when it was called Poland as the name in Hebrew sounds like the promised land. Russian anti Semitism under the Tsars convinced my family to go to Holland and London. They were teachers and musicians. My great grandfather played in orchestra he established in London to play for silent movies. A few living in Holland survived extermination. Nazis had taken an elderly woman who was sick, threw her into concentration camp and made her write letters asking for medicine. They apparently kept sending the letters to her relatives years after killing her. One male relative went a little crazy as he stayed in a room like Anne Frank's family did in Amsterdam. Another male joined the Dutch Resistance, and unlike his family, was not a teacher or a musician, but a soldier. My family largely have not gone to Israel. 

Following World War one, London had responsibility for the land that is now Israel's. The Balfour Declaration promised to Jewry that that land would be theirs, with a caveat ..

"His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country" 
 Which Israel honours by being a modern democracy. Following WW1, London did not honour the agreement, and the League of Nations did not facilitate it. In the years leading into WW2, when it was known Jews were being exterminated by Hitler in Germany, London, her king, the US President and many other notable figures turned their backs on Jews begging for a land of their own. 

Israel was reborn in 1948, on the 15th May. They were invaded by neighbouring states the next day. They have fought several wars since. Part of the extra land claimed since '48 has been necessary to secure her borders. Jordan came into being in '48 too, being a successor state to the Ottoman Empire. During the '48 war with Israel, Jordan illegally annexed the west bank. In later years, a civil war in Jordan resulted in some Jordanians calling themselves Palestinians. The name 'Palestinian' was chosen for political purposes, but gives the Roman name for the Jewish kingdom in ancient times. Israel secured the land in '68 and '73 and have required it ever since. 

The Land would have been indisputably Israel's by law, but the UN during the cold war had two imperatives preventing it. The Soviet Union had politically exploited the area isolating the US as Israel supporters, and the US embraced Saudi Arabia to prove they were independent. The fractured Islamic world was then exploited by the Soviet Union and wealthy Islamists. When the Soviet's dissolved, the UN had had set pieces isolating Israel. One set piece was to label Jordanians calling themselves Palestinians as refugees and instructing Israel to give up her own land to the refugees. Even though that land was being used by terrorists who weren't refugees. Another set piece had the UN declaring that any child to a so called Palestinian refugee would not be called Israeli. this is different to every other refugee camp in the world. Any child born in Australia is Australian (unless the ALP wish to call them something else). 


Today, Israel allows all peoples of any faith to live in Israel. But the UN run Palestinian area is ethnically cleansed. Israel has been forced to allow terrorists to live in Jerusalem and damage their holiest monument. They have been forced to release killers from prison 'for peace.' Israel has been forced to not build settlements in their own land. Absurdly, the safest place for a Muslim in the world is Israel, because they are not targeted by other Muslims in Israel. And yet Obama has approved building a nuclear power plant in Iran capable of harvesting plutonium for an atom bomb. 


I am not Jewish, but I stand with Israel against terrorism. Israel has a right to exist as a modern democracy and thrive as a whole nation. Israel has a right to defend her peoples from terror. Israel has a right to Jerusalem as her capital. Should Israel decide to rebuild her temple, she should. I don't mind people disagreeing with me, but I insist they give argument addressing these points, not mere abuse.
Historical perspective on this day
In 379, Emperor Gratian elevated Flavius Theodosius at Sirmium to Augustus, and gave him power over all the eastern provinces of the Roman Empire. 639, Clovis II, king of Neustria and Burgundy, was crowned. 649, Conquest of Kucha: The forces of Kucha surrendered after a forty-day siege led by Tang dynasty general Ashina She'er, establishing Tang control over the northern Tarim Basin in Xinjiang. 1419, Hundred Years' WarRouen surrendered to Henry V of England, completing his reconquest of Normandy. 1511, Mirandola surrendered to the French. 1520, Sten Sture the Younger, the Regent of Sweden, was mortally wounded at the Battle of Bogesund. 1607, San Agustin Church in Manila was officially completed; it is the oldest church still standing in the Philippines. 1661, Thomas Venner was hanged, drawn and quartered in London. 1764, John Wilkes was expelled from the British House of Commons for seditious libel. 1788, the second group of ships of the First Fleet arrived at Botany Bay. 1795, the Batavian Republic was proclaimed in the Netherlands bringing to an end the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands.

Also 1915, World War I: German zeppelins bomb the towns of Great Yarmouth and King's Lynn in the United Kingdom killing more than 20, in the first major aerial bombardment of a civilian target. 1917, Silvertown explosion: Seventy-three were killed and 400 injured in an explosion in a munitions plant in London. 1920, the United States Senate voted against joining the League of Nations. 1935, Coopers Inc. sold the world's first briefs. 1937, Howard Hughes set a new air record by flying from Los Angeles to New York City in seven hours, 28 minutes, 25 seconds. 1941, World War II: The Greek Triton (Y-5) sank the Italian submarine Neghelli in Otranto. 1942, World War II: Japanese forces invaded Burma. 1945, World War II: Sovietforces liberated the Łódź Ghetto. Also 1983, the Apple Lisa, the first commercial personal computer from Apple Inc. to have a graphical user interface and a computer mouse, was announced. 1986, the first IBM PC computer virus was released into the wild. A boot sector virus dubbed (c)Brain, it was created by the Farooq Alvi Brothers in LahorePakistan, reportedly to deter piracy of the software they had written.

In 1991, Gulf WarIraq fired a second Scud missile into Israel, causing 15 injuries. 1993, Czech Republic and Slovakia joined the United Nations. 1995, after being struck by lightning the crew were forced to ditch Bristow Flight 56C. All 18 aboard were later rescued. 1996, the barge North Cape oil spill occurred as an engine fire forced the tugboat Scandia ashore on Moonstone Beach in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. 1997, Yasser Arafat returned to Hebronafter more than 30 years and joined celebrations over the handover of the last Israeli-controlled West Bank city. 1999, British Aerospace agreed to acquire the defence subsidiary of the General Electric Company plc, forming BAE Systems in November 1999. 2006, the New Horizons probe was launched by NASA on the first mission to Pluto. 2007, Turkish Journalist Hrant Dink was assassinated in front of his newspaper's office by 17-year-old Turkish ultra-nationalist Ogün Samast. 2012, the Hong Kong-based file-sharing website Megaupload was shut down by the FBI. 2013, a failed attempt to assassinate Ahmed Dogan, chairman of the Bulgarian political party Movement for Rights and Freedoms, on live television was foiled by security guards. 2014, a bomb attack on an army convoy in the city of Bannu killed at least 26 soldiers and injures 38 others.

3 But Judah said to him, "The man warned us solemnly, 'You will not see my face again unless your brother is with you.' 4 If you will send our brother along with us, we will go down and buy food for you. 5 But if you will not send him, we will not go down, because the man said to us, 'You will not see my face again unless your brother is with you.'"

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God." -Hebrews 4:9
How different will be the state of the believer in heaven from what it is here! Here he is born to toil and suffer weariness, but in the land of the immortal, fatigue is never known. Anxious to serve his Master, he finds his strength unequal to his zeal: his constant cry is, "Help me to serve thee, O my God." If he be thoroughly active, he will have much labour; not too much for his will, but more than enough for his power, so that he will cry out, "I am not wearied of the labour, but I am wearied in it." Ah! Christian, the hot day of weariness lasts not forever; the sun is nearing the horizon; it shall rise again with a brighter day than thou hast ever seen upon a land where they serve God day and night, and yet rest from their labours. Here, rest is but partial, there, it is perfect. Here, the Christian is always unsettled; he feels that he has not yet attained. There, all are at rest; they have attained the summit of the mountain; they have ascended to the bosom of their God. Higher they cannot go. Ah, toil-worn labourer, only think when thou shalt rest forever! Canst thou conceive it? It is a rest eternal; a rest that "remaineth." Here, my best joys bear "mortal" on their brow; my fair flowers fade; my dainty cups are drained to dregs; my sweetest birds fall before Death's arrows; my most pleasant days are shadowed into nights; and the flood-tides of my bliss subside into ebbs of sorrow; but there, everything is immortal; the harp abides unrusted, the crown unwithered, the eye undimmed, the voice unfaltering, the heart unwavering, and the immortal being is wholly absorbed in infinite delight. Happy day! happy! when mortality shall be swallowed up of life, and the Eternal Sabbath shall begin.
Evening
"He expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself." - Luke 24:27
The two disciples on the road to Emmaus had a most profitable journey. Their companion and teacher was the best of tutors; the interpreter one of a thousand, in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. The Lord Jesus condescended to become a preacher of the gospel, and he was not ashamed to exercise his calling before an audience of two persons, neither does he now refuse to become the teacher of even one. Let us court the company of so excellent an Instructor, for till he is made unto us wisdom we shall never be wise unto salvation.

This unrivalled tutor used as his class-book the best of books. Although able to reveal fresh truth, he preferred to expound the old. He knew by his omniscience what was the most instructive way of teaching, and by turning at once to Moses and the prophets, he showed us that the surest road to wisdom is not speculation, reasoning, or reading human books, but meditation upon the Word of God. The readiest way to be spiritually rich in heavenly knowledge is to dig in this mine of diamonds, to gather pearls from this heavenly sea. When Jesus himself sought to enrich others, he wrought in the quarry of Holy Scripture.

The favoured pair were led to consider the best of subjects, for Jesus spake of Jesus, and expounded the things concerning himself. Here the diamond cut the diamond, and what could be more admirable? The Master of the House unlocked his own doors, conducted the guests to his table, and placed his own dainties upon it. He who hid the treasure in the field himself guided the searchers to it. Our Lord would naturally discourse upon the sweetest of topics, and he could find none sweeter than his own person and work: with an eye to these we should always search the Word. O for grace to study the Bible with Jesus as both our teacher and our lesson!

I am a decent man and don't care for the abuse given me. I created a video raising awareness of anti police feeling among western communities. I chose the senseless killing of Nicola Cotton, a Louisiana policewoman who joined post Katrina, to highlight the issue. I did this in order to get an income after having been illegally blacklisted from work in NSW for being a whistleblower. I have not done anything wrong. Local council appointees refused to endorse my work, so I did it for free. Bread of Life is a daily bible quote with a layman's understanding of the meaning. I give one quote for each day, and also a series of personal stories illustrating key concepts eg Who is God? What is a miracle? Why is there tragedy?
