Editorial Sun Feb 7th 2021
On Friday, at work in the adjacent suburb of Hallam, a lightning storm resulted in power going down across Hallam. Children at the tutorial centre at 8pm were forced to work from fading daylight across summer of Melbourne. Lights returned fifteen minutes later. Work was done and children got a new appreciation of Zeus. When I got back home, I found the internet was down from wifi, but I had phone data operative. I searched for internet failure and found nothing. I waited until next morning, and found a report of NBN failure the night before. I went to work in the morning. At work I was called by my estate agent who had tried to reset the modem in the share accommodation, without success. I told them of the NBN outage report, with the news that the anticipated recovery was on Monday at 6pm, the fourth day from the failure.
I went home and checked the internet again. Still down, I checked the outage reports, and there were none. Not even at my address. Clearly, the estate agent had not got the landlord to raise the issue with the ISP. There is no reason to believe the internet will be restored on even the fourth day if no one is looking at the issue.
What has caused this outage? Internet gets slow whenever there is a thunderstorm. I live in Dandenong, a suburb of Melbourne. There is no excuse for such poor service.
Editorial Thursday 11th February 2021
Having reported the outage to my landlord’s agent, I queried them as to why no fault was reported on the address a day later, two days later, three days later and four days later. The estate agent raised their voice to me “It is not my job to sit by a phone for a telecommunications company hours on end. I’ve alerted the landlord.”
“Yes, but the telecommunications company needs to know there is a fault or they cannot address it.”
“I take your point but I have told you I have alerted the landlord.”
“Have you advised them to report the fault?”
“They said they will fix it. If they haven’t fixed by the end of working day tomorrow I will see to it. Have a good day, sir”
It wasn’t working on day five, but another member of the share household found mail addressed to the landlord from the telecommunications company and opened it. It said that the company was sending a final warning before cancellation. The company was forced to close their cable service and link to NBN instead. The cancellation was to take place on the 15th February, ten days after they in fact cancelled it. Had the company been called when the ‘fault’ was detected, the problem could have been addressed immediately. The agent has still not apologised to me. Neither is the internet connected after seven days.
My oldest sister sent me a near fifty year old school photo of me. I told her that I had lost all my photos when FB booted me. I have no place for such memories, but I’m thankful she thought of me. I had been booted from FB after Jan 6th for not being a good citizen, as I endorsed Donald Trump for President. I am not uncivilised and never condone violence or racism, but FB booted me. My sister, a left wing loony, said I should go somewhere else where I’m accepted. She suggested I use the library to access the internet. She was taunting me. That is how they behave.

Enjoy, dance, delight
But not too close to the light.
Icarus fell, but he lived and flew
Who'd deny him his wish .. you?
His father's advice, your mother warned
But who listened? Who saw?
All those excuses denied you:
My mother gave me drugs
I didn't know it was so long
I'm singing everybody's song
If it feels good it isn't wrong.
Grin, burst, flash
But not too close to the lamp
Icarus fell, but he lived and flew
Who'd deny him his wish .. you?
The desire to live. The desire to fly.
The desire to be all you can buy.
All those excuses denied you:
If it gets bad I'll quit
I don't know who gave it, or why
When you feel down it helps you fly
I didn't think I would die.
Pain, resolve, despair
But not so close as to be seen
Icarus fell, but he lived and flew
Who'd deny him his wish .. you?
A pain in the head. A pain in the neck.
The pain that lodged inside your heart.
All those excuses you denied.
It was all your fault.
The others had tried.
The dream was lost
And so you died.

I found images from my own library, or from Google Image search. This one was found on google image search for another project .. but I recycle. It affirms the idea of people celebrating irresponsibly.
she was so white cause she hadnt used one for 2 years
You have an agenda, which is why you are so free with bandying words like 'lie.' Your 'detective work' is a lie, or a gross exaggeration. Have another puff on a cigar and make up another story .. going somewhere else to tell it.
is this meant to be sad or informative , if she used solariums so often then how come she was so white ? she lied and she knew it about solariums , that is uncovered in my detective work and presented in my you tube clip. some people will do anything for money
I disagree. She knew it wasn't about the solarium industry, and said so, but she made some valid points too. Lobby groups are rarely true to their foundations. She was a normal person, with normal hopes and desires. The entire situation was an appalling tragedy. Have you followed the lyric?
:( thats so sad
Yes, she went to the local fun park with friends and family. They had some cake.
hey just wondrin, did she get to see her 26th bday? :/
Thank you.
I made a promise to her that I would make a tribute. I never told her, I don't know her, but I read her story in the paper and was touched. Thank you for listening.
RIP Clare! She was a beautiful and brave young woman.
Don't give up on hope. Issue of FBI corruption needs to be addressed. Comey lied to a court to get an investigation started which was not legal? The US people deserve to know that their public service is impartial. Trump approval rating jumps ten points. Imagine what it would be if the swamp did not swamp the public with #FakeNews ?
Senator Jim Molan attacked for videos he has posted. Britain First is not a credible organisation. However, the videos are real. Anyone can post a good idea, not merely partisan left wing media. Britain First also posts a lot of rubbish. Molan did not post the rubbish. A so called Sudanese community leader seems to be an ALP affiliated member whose opinion is related to whatever the ALP wants it to be. Matthew Guy has released a new policy of placing police in some schools. It has been a great policy in the past and in other states and nations. I know of several instances in dysfunctional schools where a police presence would have limited crime. But extreme left wing school bureaucrats would not like it.
It would now be easy to create a block register tracking guns and ammunition. Guns are overly regulated in Australia. Why not loosen gun regulation but include ammunition? It would make policing easier.
On this day in 1958, the pride of English football met tragedy in Munich. An air disaster claimed the lives of a great Manchester United club team. Fifty nine years later, the loss of the cultural asset, more than the loss of the players and coaches, have deprived England of her due. The world has moved on and there are other teams supported by cultural assets that have been preserved. Note Maradona did lots of damage, despite glory, with his 'hand of God' action. And whenever a cultural asset is lost, there is pain, even if it is not recognised. Malcolm Turnbull has damaged the Liberal Party's cultural assets for his own ambition.
The Liberal Party needed to stop the damaging backstabbing of Malcolm Turnbull. It had cost them Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and threatened them federally too. The act is done. And the doubting, incompetent and indecisive back stabber is PM. And if there is any policy change, it is for the worse.
For some at the moment, the sex party has more credibility.

NBC trusted journalist Brian Williams, confesses to lying for years and often about being on a helicopter which survived an RPG attack. There is still no evidence he is a conservative and so he might not get fired.
Two WA back benchers, Luke Simpkins and Don Randall, have declared they will nominate a spill motion for the leadership of the Liberal Party on Tuesday 10/2/15. In all likelihood the spill will elect Mr Abbott unopposed. It is possible another might choose to run against Mr Abbott. The leaks and undermining is not tenable for long term party survival in government. In 2007, such leaks as came from Costello and allegedly Turnbull, brought down the Howard government. It was, as Mr Howard later acknowledged, a mistake which Mr Howard made. But the Howard and Costello leadership tangle is very far from the Liberal Party's issues at the moment. There is a lot of front bench talent and back bench, but the problem the party has is getting legislation past the economic vandals of the Senate. In fact the government has done well, but for that issue, and have even successfully got key measures through the Senate. Although Mr Abbott has been put into a position of claiming Knighting the Duke of Edinburgh as a mistake, it wasn't, it was a healthy choice. The confected outrage shields the incompetent and corrupt Shorten from criticism.
There will always be some division in the conservative party, it is how it is constructed. Not all conservatives agree on everything all the time. However, the current levels of division are deliberate and the aim is to destabilise the leadership. Mr Turnbull was not a good leader of the party in the past. He had the loyalty of the party in being dedicated to conservative issues, but he didn't do that, embracing the carbon tax and faux excuse of anthropogenic global warming. The timing of it is abysmal for the Liberal Party, and it is likely to cruel election hopes in NSW as it did in Queensland and Victoria. Victoria's issues were partly self inflicted. The timing of it suggests it might not be Mr Turnbull behind it, but rather the partisan media inflating routine issues. It is never hard for a Liberal to be heard on any issue, all they need do is criticise the Liberal Party.
On this day in 1649, following the beheading of his dad, Charles I, Charles II was declared king by the parliament of Scotland, but not England or Ireland. England was to become a 'protectorate' for ten years. In 1685, Charles died and his brother James II became king on this day. In 1815, NJ gave the first railroad charter to inventor John Stevens. Stevens had fought under Washington before becoming an inventor who made the first steam locomotive and helped influence US Patent law. In 1819, Raffles founded Singapore. In 1820, former slaves, African Americans, 86 in number, were sent from NY to Liberia. In 1840, the signing of the treaty of Waitangi began NZ. In 1843, the first minstrel show began in the US. In 1851, Australia hosted the largest bush fires in history in a populous region (Victoria). In 1862, US Grant gave Union forces their first victory of the Civil War at Fort Henry Tennessee. In 1899, The treaty of Paris made peace between the US and Spain and called for the Hague to host an international arbitration court the next year. In 1918, British women over thirty years old, got the vote, thus denying it to all who had lied about their age. In 1952, following the death of her father, Elizabeth II became Queen Regnant at a tree house in Kenya (nine years later, Obama was born). In 1978, the Blizzard of 78 dumped snow on New England. In 1988, Michael Jordan inspired Air Jordan with a slam dunk.
In Vietnam, the failed Tet Offensive had ruined the North's capacity to wage standing battles. But covert operations were still damaging. The guerrilla tactics included women and children and US troops were poorly equipped to handle the vagaries of civil war. A few villages were identified as being targets and orders were given which were ambiguous, but interpreted by some officers on the ground as 'kill everyone.' Some soldiers refused to follow orders, and attempted to hide some of the women and children, but failed.
Following the massacre, Democrat Congressmen Mendel Rivers, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, denounced the soldiers who had tried to save women and children as traitors. However, soldiers continued to protest the action and an investigation was held. The action was held on March 16th. On March 28th a report labelled it a success. Six months later, a soldier wrote to a general of their concern at the casual killing of civilians. Colin Powell was then appointed to investigate. It is claimed he attempted to whitewash it.
In March of '69, after LBJ had retired and Nixon was President, GOP Barry Goldwater urged the house armed services committee to investigate a letter he'd received from one of the soldiers who had been present at the massacre. Only after a report was tabled in November '69 was the incident reported. So why does Ray Martin believe that the bias of the ABC was essential for reporting on the massacre? Was it for covering up the massacre until a Republican was President?

I am a decent man and don't care for the abuse given me. I created a video raising awareness of anti police feeling among western communities. I chose the senseless killing of Nicola Cotton, a Louisiana policewoman who joined post Katrina, to highlight the issue. I did this in order to get an income after having been illegally blacklisted from work in NSW for being a whistleblower. I have not done anything wrong. Local council appointees refused to endorse my work, so I did it for free. Youtube's Adsence refused to allow me to profit from their marketing it. Meanwhile, I am hostage to abysmal political leadership and hopeless journalists. My shopfront has opened on Facebook.

I am publishing a book called Bread of Life: January.
Bread of Life is a daily bible quote with a layman's understanding of the meaning. I give one quote for each day, and also a series of personal stories illustrating key concepts eg Who is God? What is a miracle? Why is there tragedy?
January is the first of the anticipated year-long work of thirteen books. One for each month and the whole year. It costs to publish. It (Kindle version) should retail at about $2US online, but the paperback version would cost more, according to production cost.If you have a heart for giving, I fundraise at gofund.me/27tkwuc (Gofundme finished the fund raiser, 2017)
