Since coming to government, my colleagues and I have been putting in place our Economic Action Strategy to build a strong and prosperous economy for a safe and secure Australia.
The Budget, to be delivered tomorrow, is another important step forward in strengthening our economy to provide for Australia's long-term future.
For many months, the Government has been carefully and methodically working on this Budget. We've had an audit report, we've dealt with the experts and we've undertaken detailed economic analysis.
It will be a responsible Budget and it will be a fair Budget. It will be fair because all of us will play our part.
By sharing the load, we lighten the load - and together we can chip away at the debt and deficits that are currently costing Australians $1 billion every single month in interest, in dead money.

While the debt and deficit problem that we face is not of our making, the Coalition Government is taking responsibility for getting the Budget back on track.
And we are honouring our commitments to end the waste, to get the Budget under control and to build the infrastructure of the 21st century.
Our legislation to scrap the carbon tax is ready to be passed -- this carbon tax is a $550 a year hit on the average Australian family.
So tomorrow night Australians will see that the Government is keeping its commitment to repair the Budget, to strengthen the economy and to invest in the roads of the future.
This is an important time for our country - the Government will build a stronger, more sustainable economy where every Australian can share in the benefits.
Regards,
Tony Abbott
Prime Minister

The IDF's Northern Command declared a closed military zone in the Quneitra Crossing area bordering Syria and the mountain range to the south of it in the Golan Heights for security reasons, the IDF Spokesman's Office said Sunday. The decision came amid fears that the fighting from the Syrian civil war is coming closer to Israel's border fence with Syria. In recent days, fighting between Syrian army soldiers and rebels has intensified, and according to estimates by military sources, decisive battles are taking place close to the border. The IDF fears that some of the fire will spill over and harm, among others, Israeli farmers working fields near the border. The Golan Regional Council added that it was getting updates from the army on the matter, but the daily routine of local residents had not changed in light of the situation assessment as of Sunday morning. Residents have, however, heard multiple explosions from the Syrian fighting. Evidence of the intensity of the Syrian fighting can also be seen in the flow of wounded Syrians who arrived in Israeli hospitals over the weekend for treatment. The IDF transported five Syrians wounded in the civil war to Ziv Hospital in Safed, including a 19-year-old Syrian in very serious condition and a moderately hurt 18-month-old baby. A total of 286 Syrians have been treated at Ziv Hospital. Assad regime loyalist military forces have been under siege in the border area near Israel for many months, and attempts by the Syrian army to reverse rebel victories in the region have so far been a failure.
According to assessments by IDF Northern Command, the Syrian army controls just two locations along the border with Israel – the town of Quneitra and the Druse region of Khader – with all remaining border areas under the control of a myriad of rebel groups, which include radical jihadi organizations like Nusra Front. Fierce battles have been raging at Tel Kudna, near the central Golan Heights, with inconclusive results thus far, according to army sources in northern Israel. The IDF watches closely as rebels and Syrian army forces attack one another every day. It continues to make preparations for the day when jihadi gunmen turn their sights southward, toward the Israeli border. “The pastoral scenery of the Golan Heights, awash with basalt and flowing streams, can change in a momentary bang to a battlefield of blood, fire and plumes of smoke,” IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz warned last October, in reference to the unstable and unpredictable nature of the Syrian border region, and the increase in terror groups in the area, including al-Qaida-affiliated groups, and Hezbollah, which sent units from Lebanon to fight for Syrian President Bashar Assad. As part of the military’s preparations, the IDF created the 210th territorial Bashan Division and deployed it to the border in recent months, in order to boost frontier security.

The Islamic Jihad terrorist group recently held a military maneuver in which it presented anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons. Footage of the maneuver aired on Mayadeen TV and was broadcast on May 7. During the maneuver, the group said it was preparing “for what is to come” and stated that members of its “military wing”, the Al-Quds Brigades, “are training and preparing for confrontation with the Israeli occupation.”
The Islamic Jihad was responsible for firing a barrage of rockets at southern Israel in March and also threatened to fire long-range missiles at Israel, but it later toned down its rhetoric and claimed it was not interested in an escalation. The Iranian-backed terrorist group has also released a Hebrew-language video warning the Israeli government against attacking and calling on Israelis to "get out of our country" - referring to all of Israel, which Islamic Jihad, like Gaza's Hamas rulers, seeks to destroy. Most recently the group said it was in discussions on joining the Hamas-Fatah unity government that will be set up as a result of the reconciliation pact signed between the sides. That announcement came despite the Islamic Jihad having predicted that the deal would fail just hours after it was reached.

Father,I thank You for giving me the power to live in abundance. I choose to be faithful to You and Your Word. I choose to diligently follow Your commands and look for Your hand of blessing on everything I set my hands to in Jesus’ name. Amen.

YOUR WEEK IS FRUITFUL!
The Scripture tells us that He gives us the power to gain wealth. Wealth is simply having abundance. He wants you to live in abundance so that He can use you to be a blessing to others. When we do things God’s way, we get God’s results. In other words, when we live in excellence and integrity, when we follow the Word of God, we will walk in His blessing.Deuteronomy 8:18 says,And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth.
Notice one more thing about this verse. It says that “He gives us the power to get wealth.” See, God gives us the ability. He gives us creative ideas and inventions, but we have to be diligent to do our part and step out and use what He’s given us. We have to sow good seed in order to see the harvest that He has promised. Today, choose to be faithful. Choose to be diligent. Choose to follow God in everything and watch Him pour out His abundant blessing on you.You are blessed.

AM WISHING ALL MOTHERS HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.
Special thanks for your unconditional love. You are special and wonderfully made,God bless you.
=
Father God,I thank you for being so good and loving us so much. Help us to always give thanks, no matter what we’re going through, because we know that we can count on your faithful love that endures forever. Give us the courage to keep holding on to our dreams as we trust in you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
