Editorial Media assault on decorated Australian Soldier

Former special forces soldier Ben Robert Smith has been smeared by media and political enemies. Former PM Julia Gillard smeared Smith as she decorated him, calling him 'modest.' There is a world of difference between a modest soldier and a humble one in service. Smith, in service, was humble, but his achievements were not modest. In a battle which earned him the VC, he offers it to all who served with him on that day.

One terrible smear is that Smith killed non combatants after they had been detained. Evidence of which, presented in court, was the case of Smith killing a machine gunner who was 15 years old. Is it the curt's suggestion that proof of age cards must be kept by terrorists wielding deadly weapons like machine guns? "Sir, I have a bead on that gunner pinning down our forces, can I take the shot?" "Have you checked his age?" "She has a beard." "Wait, check your privilege." "It doesn't matter sir, the unit is gone."

Ben Robert Smith has earned my thanks for his service. He has earned my admiration for his accomplishments. He has earned my favour, because those attacking him are politically motivated, not personally motivated, and placed on trial is not Smith's battle field activity, but my right to the freedom Smith defended.

Editorial Biden Crime family friends with awful people

Murdoch's Australian news focuses on Hunter Biden using the 'nigger' word freely with friends and associates. He has a meme joking about using it with Obama. It matters nothing to me how Hunter interacts with his friends and colleagues. It matters nothing to me that the issue of racism means nothing to Hunter, but he treats it as a joke. What Democrats call racism is a bad joke, undermining the meaning of the word and using it to exploit those whom have in the past been victims of racism. But, exploiting the oppressed has been Democrat policy since before the civil war. FDR practiced it to convince black voters to support Democrats as they have done since the 1930's. How did Monica Lewinsky respond to exploitation?

Biden's criminal association in the Ukraine has not been examined by the world media, who have not asked basic questions as to why Ukraine have not faced prosecution for painting their military aircraft with civilian identifiers, causing the shoot down of MH17. Australia is contributing to protecting Biden from censure.

Biden has outsourced his foreign policy to cold war policy, and so China is emboldened to challenge India by proxy in surrounding nations. However, Biden is not inactive overseas, he is working hard to hurt Israel.

Editorial Press corruption fuels corruption

A simple question by President Trump is "Why is Fox employing Chris Wallace?" But, as with most answers to Trump questions, the issues are salient, poignant and many. Chris Wallace is an incompetent journalist but a powerful left wing spokesperson. Whenever the Democrats are on the public nose, Wallace speaks for them. Wallace is partisan Democrat. Wallace is wrong on every issue he speaks on. He was wrong about COVID origins, he was wrong about election fraud and he is wrong about racism in today's America.

In Victoria, Australia, a question is being asked about Dan Andrews accident that threatened his life and laid him up for over 90 days. Andrews is not answering questions about it. We know that Andrews lies and claims to forget when it is convenient. The story is Andrews slipped on steps and broke his back. A question is why did the police or emergency not cater to the critically ill Premier of Victoria, instead he was privately transported to emergency. Was it a simple miss step, or was Andrews toxically drunk or on drugs? Was emergency service declined so Dan could sober up before treatment? It is not a new issue for the ALP, a former drunk driving attorney general for the ALP in NSW once left a hospital with his blood samples so he couldn't be charged for driving into stationary, parked cars. He later died drunk. A sniggering partisan press helped the public accept the corruption.

The press, meanwhile attack decent people, like highly decorated soldier Ben Robert Smith. May Smith get a huge payout for their libel. However, as the press fail the public with misinformation, truly terrible people are killing innocent people.

Putin and Biden Agree to Resume Arms Control Talks, Return Envoys
President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed at a "pragmatic" first summit on Wednesday to resume arms control talks and to return ambassadors to each other's capitals after they were withdrawn earlier this year. Putin called Biden, 78, a constructive, experienced partner, and said they spoke "the same language," but added that there had been no friendship, rather a pragmatic dialog about their two countries' interests. Here is a video I made The Listeners

Walter John de la Mare (pronounced /ˈdɛləmɛər/[1]), OM CH (25 April 1873 -- 22 June 1956) was an English poet, short story writer and novelist, probably best remembered for his works for children and "The Listeners".

‘Is there anybody there?’ said the Traveller,
   Knocking on the moonlit door;
And his horse in the silence champed the grasses
   Of the forest’s ferny floor:
And a bird flew up out of the turret,
   Above the Traveller’s head:
And he smote upon the door again a second time;
   ‘Is there anybody there?’ he said.
But no one descended to the Traveller;
   No head from the leaf-fringed sill
Leaned over and looked into his grey eyes,
   Where he stood perplexed and still.
But only a host of phantom listeners
   That dwelt in the lone house then
Stood listening in the quiet of the moonlight
   To that voice from the world of men:
Stood thronging the faint moonbeams on the dark stair,
   That goes down to the empty hall,
Hearkening in an air stirred and shaken
   By the lonely Traveller’s call.
And he felt in his heart their strangeness,
   Their stillness answering his cry,
While his horse moved, cropping the dark turf,
   ’Neath the starred and leafy sky;
For he suddenly smote on the door, even
   Louder, and lifted his head:—
‘Tell them I came, and no one answered,
   That I kept my word,’ he said.
Never the least stir made the listeners,
   Though every word he spake
Fell echoing through the shadowiness of the still house
   From the one man left awake:
Ay, they heard his foot upon the stirrup,
   And the sound of iron on stone,
And how the silence surged softly backward,
   When the plunging hoofs were gone.

Don't give up on hope. Marijuana compound THC is found in a study to remove Alzheimer plaque from the brain. Criticism being that the delivery is not via the blood through the lungs, but more directly. The leaf is not placed on the brain, but THC needs to be delivered to affected neurons. People who smoke marijuana excessively (monthly) can still expect to turn into dope heads .. and suffer alzheimers

Japanese soccer uniform is Samurai blue. We don't know why, but according to the Japanese Football Association "A common belief is that the uniform colour "represents the blue sky and ocean symbolising Japan's national territory", but this meaning was assigned later. The actual origin of the blue team colour is undocumented and unknown.

Japan's uniform was aqua blue before WW2, a tradition inherited after the war as well. The team adopted white tops and bottoms at the 1964 Tokyo Summer Olympics, and used white tops/navy bottoms at the Mexico City Olympics. Navy blue and white have been the main colours thereafter. A red/white theme was used for a period after 1988, but in 1992 Japan return to blue/white, a tradition that continues with the current "Samurai Blue"."Koreans are naturally upset that Japan perseveres with a non national colour scheme that is related to their imperial period.

Children now. "Teens are having less sex and doing drugs less often, but are sad" screams a headline. I found the headline disturbing. I wanted to know the methodology. So I read the article. It is fake news. The results they report are not the same as the headline. Children are taking more drugs than have been used in the past, but not the same as has been reported in the past. People are still sexual beings, and children have awareness of things at a younger age thanks(??!!) to earlier puberty and pervasive sexual content in all media. Children feel strong emotions which are not being satisfied as the family unit is being stressed. Children are still being subjected to high levels of sexual assault and exploitation by adults. Children are reporting less consensual sex among each other than in the past, probably due to isolation mixed with pervasive engagement with electronics.

Liberal senator Lucy Gichuhi has been smeared by a minor indiscretion. Her Liberal Party handlers are at fault and the mishandling of the smear is reminiscent of previous hits Turnbull, Bishop and Pyne have apparently done to other LNP, like Bronwyn Bishop, Barnaby Joyce etc. She used public funds to pay for relatives to attend a birthday party, then paid it back. ALP and Greens don't have such indiscretions reported?

Some things should not happen, but they do. The understated tragedy of over 30 dying in a unit complex fire in West London has not yet played out. We don't yet know why the fire started. We don't yet know the number of dead. But what we are almost certain of is that had policy been different almost no one would have died. Because the fire escape had been accessible, only residents had been advised to stay indoors. It is death by policy. And fingers will point, but the sad truth is that people died because of Euro regulations because Europe does not know how to deal with illegal migrants. Because now, terrorists exploit fires and so people are deemed to be better off in a secure unit. Because a unit might catch fire, but a unit complex should never burn. It is death by policy and Brexit is not yet finalised.

A few weeks ago I raised the issue of a rumour regarding a top Melbourne Girl's school which had an asbestos problem. Only I had not confirmed it. At the time, I knew that year 9 students had had a debate and the issue was raised. Was it just an opportunistic debating point? I subsequently learned that Dan Andrews' Government promised to remove all asbestos from Victorian Schools at no cost to the school. The opposition sensibly challenged the claim, asking to see which schools were affected and how the sites were cleaned. The government refused. Asbestos is relatively safe, but is a devastating killer. One cannot overstate the tragedy of mesothelioma. Were it the case of a top school not addressing the issue that was known, the reputation would plummet. Parents wanting to send their kids to a top school also want their kids to live. I am now almost certain that my rumour is fact. The debate had compared the girls school with a boys school. The girls researched it, and found a place being renovated had had asbestos paint which the school could not afford to remove. Dan Andrews has lied and is caught red handed on a serious issue which he cynically exploited.

In 1462, Vlad III the Impaler attempted to assassinate Mehmed II (The Night Attack) forcing him to retreat from Wallachia. In his younger days, Vlad and his younger brother were hostages held by the Ottomans. His younger brother was handsome and became friends with the Ottoman chief and converted to Islam. Vlad didn't. Three times Vlad led his people against the Ottomans, but he was betrayed by an ambitious Hungarian king who wanted to be Holy Roman Emperor and sacrificed Wallacia to the Ottomans by blame shifting Vlad. 1497, Battle of Deptford Bridge: Forces under King Henry VII defeated troops led by Michael An Gof. Michael led a rebellion against taxation. He failed badly, being drawn and quartered. His last words were he would be remembered for eternity. But tax goes on.

Shorten is said to have won the debate on Facebook against Turnbull. Yet Shorten failed to describe how he would cut spending to balance the budget. Shorten did not say if he would help Wong find the missing $107 billion. Shorten failed to describe how he could spend more on worthless Education programs to improve education. Shorten did not win the debate, but presented a small target. Turnbull lost the debate. Turnbull's party has better policies he did not initiate or endorse.

Appalling rhetoric has come from the left on everything conservative, and the reactionary, insane right has replied in kind. But Rhetoric can inflame the weak. Now Britain First are disowning the killer of a British Labor member who was campaigning. She had endorsed terrible policies that wouldn't help her constituents. That was no reason to kill her. Or hurt her. In fact, it was reason to debate her, openly or through the press. Those who perpetrate violence have lost their debate.

For some, at the moment, the Sex Party has more credibility.

Ron Clarke died. He set 17 world records as a middle distance runner, but never got an Olympic Gold. In Sport he is best remembered for burning himself lighting the 1956 Olympic flame as a nineteen year old, and an act of great sportsmanship with Landy. Clarke had tripped in a race (1956 Australian Championships) and Landy stopped to help him. But Clarke urged Landy on and Landy won the race. Ron failed to win gold, but he became mayor of the Gold Coast. He died from kidney failure after he had helped secure the 2018 commonwealth games for Queensland.

Woolworth CEO resigns, but despite the glaring issue of the awful online interface launched recently, all the discussion surrounds the hardware offshoot Masters. Masters has grown 17% in the last year but is still losing profit, expected to be $200 million. Woolworths overall profit has fallen from $2.45 billion to $2.15 billion. There is no plan for the succession, so the changeover will be delayed. Thing is, Masters is a young, well endowed business and if Woolworths shelves it they will fail to profit from their investment. It would be bad business. A bit like their new abysmal online interface.
From 2014
Today NSW launched a responsible, prudent and somewhat brilliant budget. It is not extravagant, but builds substantial infrastructure which is important for the future. It is predicated on the sale of wires and poles related to electrical power supply. The resultant improvement in efficiency in power supply is another benefit. But I cannot applaud the government because they are responsible for me losing my home. The ALP took my career and have smeared me. I have done nothing wrong. I have turned to the NSW Government for help and they have sold me down the river. I don't mean Zaya Toma or Andrew Rohan, who have done as much as they can, but have been, apparently (they have not told me that) nobbled by senior executive. I don't know why, and in guessing, I might do many a terrible disservice. But they took my home.

When the ALP were struggling after 16 years of incompetent government, there was no certainty they would not be reelected. The press, including the Daily Telegraph were still willing to run appalling puff pieces supporting the ALP. The public service were clearly partisan in supporting the ALP. It wasn't enough for Barry O'Farrell to be different to the ALP and aim for responsible government, he had to assure vested interests that there would be continuity of administration. Tellingly, the inept CEO of the NSW Dept of Ed was co-opted to head the public service under O'Farrell. This does not mean Coutts-Trotter is corrupt or O'Farrell. But, it does mean that those reliant on the stability of the corrupt hand of the previous administration to remain partly on the till, got their wish. The current police chief had acted in the role of the former Police Minister by actively proselytising ALP policy.

Following the 2011 election win for the conservatives in NSW O'Farrell had a cabinet in the west meeting I attended with many others. I did not get to publicly express my question to the Education Minister, but I privately raised it. I have done nothing wrong, and so there is nothing to investigate. And so my career remains lost. And after many years of neglect, I have lost my home.

It wasn't much of home, but it embodied what was important to me. I want a safe, healthy space to raise a family. If my friends wish to help me, they can help me with that agenda. No friend opposes it. It would not have taken much to have gotten me work. I did not want patronage. Merely fairness. They took my home.

Today is the wonderful anniversary of the 1903 birth of the first person to bake, the inventor of, the chocolate chip cookie. Also M. C. Escher (1898). Rodney King in '12 succumbed in wealth to what he withstood in justice. In 1971 Nixon began the war on drugs on this day. In 1972, the Watergate scandal took place .. coincidence?

Today's Old Testament reading: Nehemiah 4-7

Opposition to the Rebuilding
1 When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews,2 and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria, he said, "What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble-burned as they are?"
3 Tobiah the Ammonite, who was at his side, said, "What they are building-even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!"

Today's New Testament reading: Acts 2:22-47

22 "Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God's deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. 25David said about him:

"'I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest in hope,
27 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
you will not let your holy one see decay.
28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.'

Morning

"And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish."
John 10:28
The Christian should never think or speak lightly of unbelief. For a child of God to mistrust his love, his truth, his faithfulness, must be greatly displeasing to him. How can we ever grieve him by doubting his upholding grace? Christian! it is contrary to every promise of God's precious Word that thou shouldst ever be forgotten or left to perish. If it could be so, how could he be true who has said, "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I never forget thee." What were the value of that promise--"The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee." Where were the truth of Christ's words--"I give unto my sheep eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." Where were the doctrines of grace? They would be all disproved if one child of God should perish. Where were the veracity of God, his honour, his power, his grace, his covenant, his oath, if any of those for whom Christ has died, and who have put their trust in him, should nevertheless be cast away? Banish those unbelieving fears which so dishonour God. Arise, shake thyself from the dust, and put on thy beautiful garments. Remember it is sinful to doubt his Word wherein he has promised thee that thou shalt never perish. Let the eternal life within thee express itself in confident rejoicing.
"The gospel bears my spirit up:
A faithful and unchanging God
Lays the foundation for my hope,
In oaths, and promises, and blood."

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
Psalm 27:1
"The Lord is my light and my salvation." Here is personal interest, "my light," "my salvation;" the soul is assured of it, and therefore declares it boldly. Into the soul at the new birth divine light is poured as the precursor of salvation; where there is not enough light to reveal our own darkness and to make us long for the Lord Jesus, there is no evidence of salvation. After conversion our God is our joy, comfort, guide, teacher, and in every sense our light: he is light within, light around, light reflected from us, and light to be revealed to us. Note, it is not said merely that the Lord gives light, but that he is light; nor that he gives salvation, but that he is salvation; he, then, who by faith has laid hold upon God, has all covenant blessings in his possession. This being made sure as a fact, the argument drawn from it is put in the form of a question, "Whom shall I fear?" A question which is its own answer. The powers of darkness are not to be feared, for the Lord, our light, destroys them; and the damnation of hell is not to be dreaded by us, for the Lord is our salvation. This is a very different challenge from that of boastful Goliath, for it rests, not upon the conceited vigour of an arm of flesh, but upon the real power of the omnipotent I AM. "The Lord is the strength of my life." Here is a third glowing epithet, to show that the writer's hope was fastened with a threefold cord which could not be broken. We may well accumulate terms of praise where the Lord lavishes deeds of grace. Our life derives all its strength from God; and if he deigns to make us strong, we cannot be weakened by all the machinations of the adversary. "Of whom shall I be afraid?" The bold question looks into the future as well as the present. "If God be for us," who can be against us, either now or in time to come?

I am a decent man and don't care for the abuse given me. I created a video raising awareness of anti police feeling among western communities. I chose the senseless killing of Nicola Cotton, a Louisiana policewoman who joined post Katrina, to highlight the issue. I did this in order to get an income after having been illegally blacklisted from work in NSW for being a whistleblower. I have not done anything wrong. Local council appointees refused to endorse my work, so I did it for free. Youtube's Adsence refused to allow me to profit from their marketing it. Meanwhile, I am hostage to abysmal political leadership and hopeless journalists. My shopfront has opened on Facebook.

I am publishing a book called Bread of Life: January.

Bread of Life is a daily bible quote with a layman's understanding of the meaning. I give one quote for each day, and also a series of personal stories illustrating key concepts eg Who is God? What is a miracle? Why is there tragedy?

January is the first of the anticipated year-long work of thirteen books. One for each month and the whole year. It costs to publish. It (Kindle version) should retail at about $2US online, but the paperback version would cost more, according to production cost.If you have a heart for giving, I fundraise at gofund.me/27tkwuc (Gofundme finished the fund raiser, 2017)
