Editorial Lockdowns made COVID worse
A report into Melbourne's 3rd COVID lockdown showed bureaucrat incompetence caused it. Had a young family not been restricted to a COVID zone in a hotel quarantine then the outbreak would not have occurred. Since Victoria first went into COVID lockdown for a 'few weeks to flatten the curve' a series of escalating lockdowns which have been ineffective have been implemented. Bureaucrats may claim that their efforts have meant the world has not ended. Evidence shows lockdowns have not helped. The more we know about COVID the more apparent it is that the best treatment is early detection and a simple course of drugs for the worst afflicted. Face masks have not helped. Isolation en masse has not helped.
We are told one of the worst symptoms of COVID is racism. It is a very old problem, pre existing the virus, or the laboratory which created it. Racism of the type which had Prince Charles disown his first son, before marrying his mother? Racism of the type which had a BLM activist abuse the judicial system to lock up a police officer? ASIO is addressing this serious racism. They have decided that blaming conservatives for the activity of radicals will cure AGW inspired racism.
Meanwhile, honour killing seems to have re emerged in Pakistan. In Perth, a 17 yo girl is facing charges for importing heroin from China. 22kgs of it. But for racism, she might have been rich.

At the time, in 1994, Bill Clinton was being beaten up for being the failure he is. Clinton got saved in 1994 when Newt Gingrich and GOP took Congress and turned America around. Rwanda happened before then, and Clinton was desperate not to interfere in Africa, or Europe. Clinton ceded authority to the UN in Rwanda and to NATO in Serbia. In each case Clinton's leadership increased violence for innocent victims, like Tutsis caught in a Hutu civil war and Yugoslavs in a fractious Serbian escalation. UN peacekeepers went into Rwanda late, while NATO started bombing targets, like Serbian command tents which had been forewarned.

Don't give up on hope. A stunning election result from Malaysia saw the end of the rule of Barisan Nasional after 61 years, the entire time of Malaysia's independence. Former Barisan strong man Mahathir Mohamad at age 92, is the leader of Pakatan Harapan and now Malaysia, the oldest leader in the world. To put it in context, It is like John Howard coming out of retirement, joining with Mark Latham to end the Liberal Party and ALP control of parliament. Or, in the US, President GHW Bush coming out of retirement and joining with John Edwards on a Libertarian ticket. Because Mahathir has promised to pardon Anwar Ibrahim and give him control of Malaysia. Meanwhile the world looks on, and asks with Hilary Clinton "What happened?"
An Australian mini election is scheduled to happen next month with five bye elections in ALP seats. Turnbull is dithering over contesting them. The ALP has corruptly held onto the seats knowing the incumbent members had no constitutional right to hold the seats.
A Comey like figure, several of them, are not calling for an investigation into the corruption. Meanwhile in the US, Vice President Pence taps Mueller on the shoulder to wrap up his failed investigation. Disgracefully, Mueller gave corrupt former FBI deputy Felt a free pass to overturn former President Nixon's time in office. It was the only political assassination of a sitting US President.
The return of three North Korean hostages is another stunning victory for President Trump. On 3AW radio in Melbourne, a political analyst says "What the world hopes is that Trump does not mess up and make the opportunity much worse" but Trump is the reason for this season of peace. As Trump is pictured with the freed men, it is worth noting Obama wined and dined the jailers of Liu Xiaobo who is now dead. Other worthy non recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize include Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II for their work ending the Cold War. John Roskam from IPA has critiqued the budget. He says it was delivered by a coalition government. This is at odds with many commentators who claim it was an ALP budget. But Roskam is correct and the accusation that the budget is illegitimate is hyperbole. There is real-politik behind the budget which seems to negatively defend against ALP tactics of blocking spending cuts and inflating spending demand on health and education. Roskam also correctly notes that some of the budget shows Turnbull making bad decisions regarding taxing and spending. Tony Abbott has supported the budget "“Given the circumstances that we find ourselves in, this is the best way forward, the best way to fund important programs and the best way to get back to surplus as quickly as we reasonably can,” Abbott told Ben Fordham on 2GB.

Double standards, once accepted, spread. It is impossible to be both just, and to have a double standard. It might not appear much, but historical that has been the case. Accepting the double standard of the Ottoman Turks persecuting Armenians was wrong. As was accepting Russia or Germany persecuting Jews. Accepting Jihadis persecution of anyone is wrong too. And the cost in each instance was very high. Double standards highlight the disparity between the two policies of harm minimisation and zero tolerance. Harm minimisation is favoured by the left. In terms of illegal drugs, harm minimisation means users go untreated. But the left characterise it as meaning that those on the lower rungs of the trade are not punished for the activity of those higher up, trading in misery. But the obvious reality is harm minimisation means drug users go untreated. Zero tolerance means that drug users are treated and supply is restricted. It means innocent peoples are less likely to be involved with drugs. The left characterise it as drug users facing jail which wouldn't be effective. But the obvious reality is that zero tolerance is very effective. Harm minimisation is a double standard, and sometimes when double standards are exposed then bad things happen. For example the executions in Indonesia recently, and the executions which go on daily around the world in Saudi Arabia, China and Iran in which the rule of law is suspect.

Morning
All the goodness of the past, the present, and the future, Christ bestows upon his people. In the mysterious ages of the past the Lord Jesus was his Father's first elect, and in his election he gave us an interest, for we were chosen in him from before the foundation of the world. He had from all eternity the prerogatives of Sonship, as his Father's only-begotten and well-beloved Son, and he has, in the riches of his grace, by adoption and regeneration, elevated us to sonship also, so that to us he has given "power to become the sons of God." The church was about to engage in earnest labour, and desired her Lord's company in it. She does not say, "I will go," but "let us go." It is blessed working when Jesus is at our side! It is the business of God's people to be trimmers of God's vines. Like our first parents, we are put into the garden of the Lord for usefulness; let us therefore go forth into the field. Observe that the church, when she is in her right mind, in all her many labours desires to enjoy communion with Christ. Some imagine that they cannot serve Christ actively, and yet have fellowship with him: they are mistaken. Doubtless it is very easy to fritter away our inward life in outward exercises, and come to complain with the spouse, "They made me keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept;" but there is no reason why this should be the case except our own folly and neglect. Certain is it that a professor may do nothing, and yet grow quite as lifeless in spiritual things as those who are most busy. Mary was not praised for sitting still; but for her sitting at Jesus' feet. Even so, Christians are not to be praised for neglecting duties under the pretence of having secret fellowship with Jesus: it is not sitting, but sitting at Jesus' feet which is commendable. Do not think that activity is in itself an evil: it is a great blessing, and a means of grace to us. Paul called it a grace given to him to be allowed to preach; and every form of Christian service may become a personal blessing to those engaged in it. Those who have most fellowship with Christ are not recluses or hermits, who have much time to spare, but indefatigable labourers who are toiling for Jesus, and who, in their toil, have him side by side with them, so that they are workers together with God. Let us remember then, in anything we have to do for Jesus, that we can do it, and should do it in close communion with him.

I am a decent man and don't care for the abuse given me. I created a video raising awareness of anti police feeling among western communities. I chose the senseless killing of Nicola Cotton, a Louisiana policewoman who joined post Katrina, to highlight the issue. I did this in order to get an income after having been illegally blacklisted from work in NSW for being a whistleblower. I have not done anything wrong. Local council appointees refused to endorse my work, so I did it for free. Youtube's Adsence refused to allow me to profit from their marketing it. Bread of Life is a daily bible quote with a layman's understanding of the meaning. I give one quote for each day, and also a series of personal stories illustrating key concepts eg Who is God? What is a miracle? Why is there tragedy?
January is the first of the anticipated year-long work of thirteen books. One for each month and the whole year. It costs to publish.
