We were recently reminded by the Commission of Audit of the immense challenge to restore the Budget over the long term.
Six years of Labor delivered:
- five record Budget deficits,
- a further $123 billion in deficits for the next four years, and
- debt projected to reach at least $667 billion.
Today we are releasing a document that sets out in detail the legacy that Australians have been left by Labor.

While the Coalition Government did not create this mess, we are determined to do the responsible thing by all Australians.
The next step in the Abbott Government’s Economic Action Strategy to build a strong, prosperous economy will be the release of the Budget next Tuesday night.
The Government will face up to the difficult but necessary decisions to repair the Budget so that we can build a stronger economy.
It is in building a stronger economy that we can create more jobs, help small businesses and families and ensure there are more opportunities for all Australians.

Are you declaring good things over your life? Are you blessing your life, speaking words of faith over your future? Or, are you going around saying negative things like "Nothing good ever happens to me. I'll probably never get out of debt. I'll never break this addiction?" so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right.
Today, choose to bless your future. Choose to declare what God says. As you align your words with His Word, you're setting your future up for success. You're preparing your way for victory, and you will fulfill the destiny He has planned for you.You are blessed.

Throughout the scripture, I noticed that in God’s presence there is fullness of joy, fullness of peace, and fullness of victory. In His presence, you’re refreshed and restored. That’s why it’s so important to take time every day to read your Bible and meditate on His promises. We have to be diligent to have that quiet time with Him.
Today, take time to get alone with God and just say, “God, I love You. Thank You for my life, for my family, for the opportunities You’ve given me. Lord, I know every good thing comes from You.” When you live like that, with your heart connected to His, you’ll be refreshed, restored, reenergized and filled up for the journey of life.You are blessed.

- 558 – In Constantinople, the dome of the Hagia Sophia collapses. Justinian I immediately orders that the dome be rebuilt.
