Australia has concluded negotiations on an historic Economic Partnership Agreement with Japan, our second biggest trading partner. This historic agreement is good for the Australian economy, good for jobs, good for farmers and good for consumers.
Australia has broken new ground as the first major agricultural exporting economy to conclude such a liberalising agreement with Japan. The breakthrough follows the successful conclusion of a Free Trade Agreement with Korea, which will be formally signed today in Seoul.
More trade means more jobs.
Australian consumers will be major beneficiaries of this Agreement, with tariffs eliminated on imported cars from Japan, as well as on household appliances and electronics. Australian services providers will also gain significant new access to the Japanese market across areas such as financial, education, telecommunications and legal services.
The Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement (JAEPA) will also deliver a significant boost to Australian farmers and other agricultural producers, resource exporters, service providers and consumers.
Better access for key agriculture products – including beef, cheese, horticulture and wine – will give Australia a head start over our competitors in this market.
The Agreement sends a strong message to Japanese investors that Australia is open for business.
It is an important step in implementing our Plan to build a stronger, more prosperous economy.

I commend Boomer Esiason for apologizing for criticizing a Mets baseball player who missed Opening Day so could be with his wife for his child's birth. Esiason had advised that the player have his wife schedule a C-section so it wouldn't interfere with his game schedule!
For church leaders: Your ministry to your family must always take priority over your ministry to others. I once cancelled speaking to 60,000 Promise Keepers in a stadium to keep a promise to my youngest son, who was 10 years old at the time. Matthew was struggling with panic attacks and afraid to go to a church camp. When he said "Daddy, if you'll go with me, I can do it" there was no question in my mind what was the right thing to do. I cancelled speaking to PK and went to camp as a cabin counselor.
You'll never regret putting your family first.

Think of it like a car.The higher gears have greater capacity. They’re designed to go faster. In the same way, because you’ve kept God first place, He is shifting you to a higher gear. You’re going to go further, faster not because you’re working harder trying to make it all happen, but because it’s your time for acceleration. Receive it in Jesus Name,Amen.

Have you ever thought about how the spider that’s spinning the web can walk across it and not get stuck? It seems like he would get trapped in his own web. But God made the spider so that its body releases a special oil that flows down to its legs. That way, it can just slide across the web. You could say the spider doesn’t get stuck because of the anointing that’s on its life.
In the same way, God has put an anointing on your life. It’s like oil that causes things not to stick. When you walk in His anointing, the things that should bring you down won’t be able to. Bitterness won’t be able to stick to you. Envy and strife will slide right off of you. The traps of the enemy won’t even faze you! You are protected, and you won’t get stuck because you are covered in Him.You are marked with the Blood.Amen.
