Keith Olbermann: Gaza Flotilla Fallout - 06/02/10
From the left, Keith doesn't show the provocative nature of the shipment or the terrorist link of the crew. Or the deplorable nature of Obama's limp wristed defense of Israel .. seemingly hostile to Israel. Israel allows some 2000 tonnes of aid to Gaza each day and would have allowed the shipment had it been processed properly. Israel is allowed to prevent killers of Israelis and Palestinians from being armed.
This guy actually makes a lot of sense and he seems credible. We Americans do not condone violence. In this case, Israel is wrong. Furthermore, if there is nothing to hide, why is Israel (& USA to that matter) opposing an investigation by the international community? The answer is obvious, isn't it? They know they're wrong.
Anonymous, you don't speak for the US, or Americans. Obviously, Israel does not want an investigation as it is not warranted. No other nation would have to be scrutinized that way under similar circumstances. Why isn't Egypt examined too, after all they maintain a blockade too. The blockade name is a misnomer, all the goods would have been in Gaza had the terrorists wanted to get the goods there. The flottilla came armed with terrorists, martyrs and lefty journalists. Israelis came armed with paint ball rifles .. Israel behaved proportionately, and maybe that was a mistake. They should have sunk the boats.
Australians do not like violence as well. Kevin Rudd called Netanyahu to urge him to open an independent inquiry. I guess Rudd can speak for Australians.
Rudd claims to be a Christian, but he only seems to have his picture taken at churches, he doesn't say anything that suggests scriptural understanding. He was wrong to blame Israel for the violence. The flotilla of terrorists launched by a terrorist organization were invited to port and let the goods be taken to the GAZA territory and they refused, wanting to provoke a violent result. Footage is available of the terrorists praying to be martyred. I note that there are no protests outside Egyptian embassies .. they maintain a blockade too. The Israelis deliver some 2000 tons of aid each day to Gaza, the flottilla had some five days of Israeli aid on board their vessel .. and possibly some of the rockets the terrorists fire into Israel. It was right to deplore violence, but wrong to accuse the Israelis of doing it.
