Dan Barber: A surprising parable of foie gras

http://www.ted.com At the Taste3 conference, chef Dan Barber tells the story of a small farm in Spain that has found a humane way to produce foie gras. Raising his geese in a natural environment, farmer Eduardo Sousa embodies the kind of food production Barber believes in.

  1. Yes I have watched this and searched for more info of which there isn't much .... it almost sounds too good to be true?

  2. Sounds too good to be true .. but I suspect that is because industry supports worse option for the moment.
TED wouldn't lie .. would they? TED have their reputation to maintain .. admittedly they side with Al Gore of AGW issues .. but so do many others. It would be very brave of TED to produce something which was a lie. If ever I make it big, I would like to visit that farm. And I don't even *like* foie gras.
