Written by The Hon Greg Pearce MLC
Shadow Treasurer Greg Pearce today said Treasurer Roozendaal’s land tax grab in the mini-Budget next week would cause more pain for NSW families and businesses as the State Labor Government fails to address the state’s slow growth and a housing and rental crisis.
“The State Labor Government is demonstrating its inexperience and lack of ability to deal with the current economic conditions by opting to increase the land tax take at a time when the state needs stimulus to counteract the legacy of 13 years of Labor’s slow growth, infrastructure and services decline, anti-business government and a housing and rental crisis,” Mr Pearce said.
