Wow, it’s almost as if the Chinese shot a whale, rather than a protester, the way Kevin Rudd unleashed on the 7.30 Report:

Human rights abuses are never trivial matters, but we need to be clear, contextual, blunt about these difficulties, as well as acknowledging that there are many areas where we continue to work productively and effectively with the Chinese.

That will teach them.
